Travelodge Chesterfield garners appreciation for its clean and spacious rooms, with the pet-friendly policy and local amenities earning positive remarks from many guests. Despite some concerns over dated decor and the need for refurbishment, the hotel is praised for providing good value. The mattress was the best I've slept on but the beds are FAR TOO LOW for someone in a wheelchair. It's really hard to help my partner get back into his chair. There are no wet rooms so although a 2 legged person could probably used.the bath and shower, my partner cant, he has one leg and needs to sit. Travelodge has a £20 dog fee which is worth it, so Premier Inn has lost our custom! Staff we met were fab.

Arriving at the location was easy and right beside a burger king is a plus, also very close to many restaurants, take aways and shops. Check in took seconds and was very welcoming . Room was clean and had everything I needed, Down side is you have to pay for WIFI unless you have unlimited data of course. Just want to give a shout out to Dominic, very helpful, always chats away when entering and or exiting. Overall great place to lay your head. 👌

After 20 years of traveling in the UK this was the best Travelodge we've stayed in. The room was immaculate the staff was friendly and very helpful. After a tiring day of travel it was great to arrive to see a friendly face and a comfortable room. We will definitely stay here again.

Great location, was able to drive a short distance to surrounding towns. Dominic on reception was so welcoming and assisted us with direction and transport advice. Room was very clean, and staff were all very friendly and helpful! Would definitely recommend. Breakfast Box was good but if you’re after a hot breakfast the local harvester is a 2 minute drive. Definitely good value for money!

A weeks stay whilst working away from home. Generally I personally don’t expect much from Travelodge, just a clean room and everything works as it should. However I think this visit has been made much more enjoyable by the on duty manager Dominic, where nothing is too much trouble and his local knowledge has been comparable to a 5* concierge, ensuring I know about the best restaurants, entertainment and places to get something to drink. Although just under 2 miles from Chesterfield centre, the location means you have lots of restaurants, pubs and shops within a short walking distance. Only 4 stars as it is not in Chesterfield centre.

I only stayed here for one night but even so, my stay was lovely.
The lady on reception was very friendly and there was always somebody there to answer any questions.
The rooms were very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower pressure was fantastic.
Unfortunately I was woken up by a false fire alarm, but staff were very professional. They did a full check of the hotel and updated everyone on what had happened nice and quickly. After a quick register we were back in our rooms in no time.

My only slight issue was the road noise as my room was right next to the main road. But with my trusty earplugs this wasn't a problem at all.

Very welcoming reception, good Covid sanitation. Rooms spotless, and plenty of space. Reception staff very helpful. The only thing that stopped us giving a 5* was we had to go and ask about and request our breakfast boxes. The breakfast boxes themselves were very good, pot of cornflakes, carton of milk, carton of orange juice, pain au chocolate and flapjack/oat bar.
Would definitely recommend staying here.

Staff were very good, helpful and friendly. The room was dark, uninviting, pillows were cheap and nasty and very uncomfortable, only one each. Room was stuffy, although there was a fan. Not an attractive room at all, bed stuck over to one side when there was ample room for it to be more central. Brick wall was the view out of the window. The hotel needs a revamp to make it more appealing, would not have stayed there more than one night. Expensive, as a proper hotel would have been far better value. £79 for a room where you got no sleep at all… never again.

We stayed the night at this Travelodge in January 2022. It offered us students great value for money and we had everything we needed. We were warmly welcomed and given great advice by Dominic on reception as to where to eat and go that evening. We enjoyed a nice Italian meal at Giorgio's following his advice. I was pleasantly surprised to have a bath in my room and there was ample hot water.

A few minor points for improvement:
Instant coffee offered not great
Some minor noise disturbance during the night but we all slept well.
Slightly tired interior
bath small for 6 footers

Thanks and we will return again should we plan another weekend in the Peak District.

No. There was some sort of fast food establishment near. I really would not stay in this hotel if you can find another, you will not sleep a wink as cars wiz past your window at great speed all night long.
