Very disappointing overall. Check-in instructions on the outside of the building said to phone on arrival, which we duly did when we arrived at 6pm on Saturday 10 October 2015. No reply. We left a message to ring us back, but it didn’t happen. After waiting 15 minutes we rang again from our other mobile, but again no answer. 5...

From: David Oulsnam - Owner Bagshaw Hall is a Grade 2 Star Listed Building and was named in 1684 and has a wealth of historic features both internally & externally to warrant its listing. Lets start with the two positives from this guest: • 5-star for cleanliness. • The view was pleasant. We have a number of guests who particularly...

Bagshaw Hall sits on a hill overlooking Bakewell, with an short and easy though steep walk down to the centre. The hall itself has exposed beams and appears in good condition. We paid the extra for a top floor room with views and plenty of space. The room was modern and well equipped. It was a lovely space to stay....

Lovely stay in this old hall. Very comfortable accommodation with king size beds. Cooked breakfast not available but nice cafes in Bakewell which is a short walk from the hall. Good self catering facilities and perfect location. Good base for walks around the Peak district and close to Chatsworth

We spent a couple of nights in Bakewell during a brief visit to the Peak District, using Bagshaw Hall as our base. It's a stunning building and has been sympathetically turned into a series of holiday apartments, with amazing views across the valley. We were advised to call a number on arrival and were met by a friendly member of...

Stayed for a couple of days on vacation and we took the room at the top floor overlooking the town. Had a small kitchen, living room and bedroom. Some people may be put off as this is right on top of the hill so a good walk up and down to Bakewell town centre. This is also and old building...

We arrived early by arrangement bank holiday Friday. We were met by Martin who took care of our luggage even putting our freezer bag in the fridge. Our room just needed vacuuming so we wandered into Bakewell literally a 2 minute walk downhill to the A6. We had the Ben Foyle suite large queen bed, large bathroom good shower. The...

I booked the night away as I wanted to have a break with my husband for my 40th. The room we stayed in was the Chatsworth Penthouse Suite and it was a beautiful room and very comfortable. We booked the breakfast for the next day and it was brought to the room as requested. We love Bakewell and would recommend...

Stayed in the Vernon Suite (29) with my partner for 3 nights over the bank holiday weekend. We both thought the room was spot on with everything we needed for a lovely weekend. David the owner was really helpful, attentive and made us feel very welcome. The location is perfect for Bakewell, far enough away from the centre to be...

We stayed for 2 nights due to attending a wedding in a nearby village. We have never stayed in such an old, elegant property. Loved the shutters! Fab bathroom ...shower was great. The duvet and pillows were superb but the mattress in the Volare suite was not the comfiest. The owner recommended PieDaniels where we had an exceptional meal with...

Bakewell is beautiful! I stayed at Bagshaw Hall for two nights with my partner. It was a lovely characterful place to stay and sits high up above the town. It's just a short walk downhill to get to the restaurants and bars at the centre - and a short walk back uphill after! I liked the fact that there were...
