We took our 2 energetic springer spaniels and managed to wear them out with lots of walks close by. The cottage was really cosy due to the underfloor heating and wood burner particularly as it was snowy for the first couple of days. It's in a lovely quiet location which is great when you live in a city although it's...

A well done conversion; not over done, but well appointed. Everything you need is there, just take a few basics- tea and breakfasts, and you will be set. The bed is soft, and the loft is a lovely place to wake up. The cooker is easy, as is the shower. The underfloor heating had us opening windows even when a...

This was my second visit to Byre Cottage from Australia, the first time with my best friend and this time with my parents. It has everything you could wish for in a Holiday Cottage. The cottage is located in a beautiful pastoral setting yet easily within reach of Bakewell and many other attractions in the area. I loved the upside...

We designed the Byre cottage with the living areas upstairs to maximise the "converted barn" feel that being open to the rafters gives. Thank you for the kind words and, of course, we would love to see you again when you next visit the UK.

A very comfortable and clean cottage. Convenient open plan layout downstairs. Well equipped including DW tablets, tea/coffee, foil etc. Good location for exploring White Peak area with walks from the door, great pubs nearby and several cycle trails nearby. Welcoming hosts. Would recommend.

Our stay was absolutely brilliant, there was beautiful scenery, peace and quiet. The cottage had beautiful views. The cottage itself was perfect, had everything you needed to have a wonderful holiday. The place and surrounding areas were very dog friendly. This is a place I would recommend to anyone.

A superb facility, very clean and with all you need to make pleasant stay. Comfortable bed, good facilities and kitchen. We had a great time here - even the cows come close to the cottage to say hello. We will definitely stay here again - its nice and quiet and tho the hayloft is next door there is no noise...

Being in a rural location, you only need hop over the back wall to find the nearest footpath. We think that it's great that even the cows are friendly!

Anniversary revisit to cottage/ barn conversion we have stayed in before. Wonderful solitude (except for cows first things, which was great, peering over the fence at us) and peace. Just what we needed.

We rented both cottages in the first week of the Easter break. We were two families and had 3 dogs between us. Every morning we went on a nice long walk with the 3 dogs that actually started right on the doorstep and the 2 boys aged 10 in the group were able to play in the fields behind us...

Thank you for the kind words. It is the first time a supermarket delivery has failed to deliver to the cottages at the appointed time. It was very frustrating as we could see the driver heading up and down the lane! Having two cottages adjacent to each other works very well for two families who like to holiday together whilst...
