I have been privileged to attend a wedding reception at Hassop Hall, only yesterday. This is England at bits best, set in our precious "green and pleasant land" Entering by its well manicured, long driveway, into amply car parking. All the buildings are indeed a treasure, with a fine mix of stately quality, and modern small additions for comfort and...

Great setting, good service and good food for a party hosting around 150 people. Owners to be congratulated on refurbishing this magnificent building and turning it into a first class hotel and restaurant.

We were joined by our immediate family for this wonderful occasion and stayed the Saturday night after our meal then left after lunch on the Sunday. We cannot fault this place; the reception and service in luxury surroundings is impeccable. We have visited many times before and still find it the best restaurant ever. Having to reserve a table months...

We had a 3 night break here. It is the most relaxing hotel I have ever stayed in. A beautiful old English estate set in tranquil picturesque countryside which serves the best food I have had in a long while. The staff are helpful and attentive and nothing is too much trouble. I would definitely recommend this establishment and will...

Our second overnight stay at this Country House Hotel and perhaps our 6th Dining experience there. Never fails to deliver on all fronts - always a real treat. Some nice touches - complimentary bottle of water with Dinner, daily Newspaper and Weather Forecast slipped underneath our bedroom door.

Had a 4-course meal and it was brilliant. The experience is a treat and is 5 star in comparison to what you pay. The meal was £41 each with a wide variety of starters, mains and puddings. The experience starts at the drive and is very pretty drive in. It is like an old fashioned country house and you are...

We spent one night at Hassop Hall on our recent trip to the Peak District. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a really special night. We checked into the hotel and spent the afternoon walking around Bakewell, Chatham and the Derwent Dam-beautiful location central to everything yet seemed like we were miles away from everyone. Dinner was...

We went here last Friday evening for a celebration with the family and we had a wonderful time! The style and setting makes the occasion magical. Before you go in for your starter you're seated in a separate area to enjoy canopies and drinks before being seated at your table which was decorated with such detail. The silver service and...

Popped in for a drink. Lovely staff, who opened the bar especially for us. We sat outside, on the terrace, and they brought us some uneaten crisps and nuts left over from an event. A perfect stop off at a really interesting house, and it looked like a lovely hotel.

Stayed for just one evening in superior room with dinner included. Room was spotless, with fantastic bathroom, luxury toiletries and crisp linen and towels. The room was traditionally furnished in keeping with the style of the house. The hotel itself is beautiful with immaculate grounds and a nice bar and lounge. The food was beautiful. The menu some may describe...
