Very friendly owners made us feel very welcome. Particularly good as they have a ground floor bedroom to offer which is brilliant for those less able to manage stairs though there are a couple of steps to negotiate so not ideal for those totally wheelchair bound; it has its own independent access in an extension on to the house, an...

We are a couple travelling by car through the UK. The B&B is located in what must be the best location in Bakewell. Across the road is the park with a footpath running along the picturesque river into the main town - a lovely walk of 5-8 minutes. Jeremy and Barbara are excellent hosts ready with advice and a good...

Booked for 2 nights in November. Really friendly hosts. The breakfast (Derbyshire Oatcakes) were fantastic. The room was peaceful. It's a brilliant location as the town centre is just a few minutes walk from the B&B. I would definitely recommend staying here and we will be returning.

We booked a short stay to take in the countryside and walks in late October. We were made very welcome and shown to our room as well as advised on places to eat. Really enjoyed our stay and found the location quiet and conveniently located on edge of town. Breakfasts were great and cooked and presented to perfection. Would recommend...

We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay and would go back in a heartbeat! They were so accommodating about our early arrival. There were several options for breakfast and we highly recommend the stuffed oatcakes!!! The location was a nice walk from the main part of town, but not far. We did not have a car so walked to Haddon Hall...

Room was big and spacious and decorated to a good standard. Lovely breakfasts cooked to perfection. Ideal location as short walk into the centre of Bakewell on a lovely riverside. Hosts were lovely and had a lot of knowledge about the area and things to do.

Situated 4 minute walk from town centre. Parking at rear, and sidestreet. Motorcyclists made very welcome. Rooms modern and clean. Bit noisy on the front overlooking the main road (but nice views of the park opposite), however the triple glazing reduced it considerably.. Lovely breakfast in light and airy dining area. Jeremy and his wife are very helpful and friendly....

I visited Bakewell on 13th August 2016, looking for some rest and relaxation. From the moment Jeremy welcomed me, The Haven was perfect. My en-suite room was spacious, light, airy and peaceful, just the job after feeling under the weather for a few days. There is a comfortable residents' lounge and good WiFi signal. The location is great, cross the...
