We have just stayed at the Riverbank guest house and it was most enjoyable. The owner's were welcoming, the room was perfect, the breakfast was yummy and the location was spot on. Would definitely recommend and I hope I get the opportunity to stay again.

We have just come back from a wonderful two days in Matlock. The guest house was in a perfect position, excellent access to bars, restaurants and all the vintage shops. The owners were very welcoming and chatty. It felt like a home away from home. The house itself was beautiful, very idyllic and breakfast was a relaxing experience. The food...

We ‘earned’ this short break with reward points from Hotels.com. We wondered why our room didn’t look like any of those featured on the website, so assumed it was because of this fact. It was depressingly gloomy and small, and we were glad we weren’t paying full price for it. I’ve scored it ‘very good’ because the position is excellent...

An excellent guest house in an excellent location. Upon arrival, the staff were friendly and very polite. The room was just amazing, as were the gardens, the breakfasts, the cleanliness, the facilities etc, etc, etc. We will recommend this guest house to our friends and family, and we have already discussed going back again for another visit. I can honestly...

This B&B was in a lovely location with beautiful views over the river. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable - one of the best night's sleep I've had in a long time. Breakfast was just what we wanted, and nice to have more of a choice than just full English. I opted for eggs benedict and a side of grapefruit...

I was booked here through a walking company and they certainly chose well. My room was freshly decorated, of good size with a very comfortable bed. (Pink and purple happen to be two of my favorite colors, :-) The location is on a quiet almost private street with the river at the back, so it is very tranquil although it...

We found this on trip advisor & late rooms. We stayed two nights in a lovely, light & comfortable bedroom done in a coastal style with fresh blue floral linen. The towels are big & fluffy- bonus points for that! Tea/coffee facilities in the room were good. The breakfast was very well organised & cooked fresh once you sit down,...

We had a lovely stay at riverbank guest house. The room and en suite was very clean, with a four poster bed to top it off! The owners were really friendly and helpful and very welcoming. Amazing and generous breakfast with a huge choice. Great location for restaurants and cafés just a few minutes away.

I have just returned from spending the bank holiday in Matlock. Riverbank is in an excellent location in Matlock, close to the park, restaurants and bars. You are walking distance from a lovely walk up High Tor and a short drive away from Dovedale (stepping stones) and Carsington Water, certainly worth a visit. Free parking outside the b&b which was...
