We booked our annual treat of Afternoon Tea a few weeks ago. The first 30 minutes or so were brilliant and we relaxed to enjoy our champagne tea to soft background music. Then in came a couple with 2 very young children and were seated next to us. After 10 minutes, the kids inevitably got bored and started climbing over...

Without doubt, the gardens at Swinton Park are the most exquisitely beautiful that I've ever seen! We loved the hotel, overall, but were so taken with the beauty we experienced on long hike we took over the Swinton Park property. It was a true sanctuary, and an experience that I will never forget. Additionally, the castle itself, is lovingly cared...

My husband and a group of our friends attended for afternoon tea on Saturday. Swinton Park holds a special place in our heart given that we had our wedding reception here back in 2011. I must admit, I was a bit apprehensive as we have spoken so highly of this venue to our friends and were worried in case things...

Having stayed here for a night in 2013 decided to get married here in May 2015. Had an extremely small wedding (under 20 guests) and my husband and I stayed here for two nights after our wedding. From start to finish our stay at Swinton Park was amazing. We stayed in the Bradford Room which has the most gorgeous views....

Beautiful hotel, with amazing rooms and views. Deer in the gardens. We instantly felt relaxed on arrival. Staff are friendly and attentive, first class. The falconry taster session was brilliant. Great experience. Had us all saying Wow!

This was a return visit, and the manager left us a hand-written note to welcome us back, which is why we like this place - the staff care, they're warm, friendly and unpretentious. In particular, Sofia in the bar was lovely. Thanks also for making our 1 year old baby so welcome too, with a travel cot and bag full...

We were part of a large group booked through our company. The service levels were excellent, the rooms were very comfortable but the big let down was the food. We had a group dinner, which was nothing short of disappointing, with tough meat and lacking flavour, this really made a difference. But of course breakfast could change my opinion ?...

Thank you for sharing your comments with us. We are proud of the 3 AA rosettes Samuel's has held for several years, recognising the consistent, high standards we achieve, so we are always concerned on occasions when guests are disappointed. I have passed your comments to the Head Chef so he can review them with his brigade and take action...

A stunning hotel which does have some amazing rooms. Stunning rooms and gardens. Our room this visit was far plainer than previous visits, as it has become more expensive and now we can only afford the basic room which needed some refurbishment to be fair. The cost of even the most basic room is around two hundred per night so...

We stayed for a one night break after a day at the races. On arriving the views are very impressive and the deer that were near the house was lovely to see. We stayed in the Haworth room as we thought we pay the extra to spoil ourselves. The room was a little disappointing, a little tired looking. The mattress...

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It exceeded my expectation in every way. The staff is exceptionally helpful, they will drive you to the nearest town per request makes it very convenient. The ground is stunning, owls, deer's, pheasants, all sorts of beautiful animals. Just a stunning castle inside and out.
