Very clean. Medium fridge and microwave in room. Air conditioning worked well, which was a blessing during recent heat wave. Wall mounted TV had a cable extension for attaching our own HDMI streaming stick. Better configuration of accessible electrical plugs than many other hotel rooms we've stayed in. Very comfortable for a multi-night stay.
Pet friendly.
Really appreciate the ground floor rooms with exterior door access and parking in front of the room. Four full sets of towels and washcloths provided in room.
Very convenient location just off the highway north of Saint John.
Only three things we would change: remove all the carpeting in rooms, offer in-room recycling or more obvious option in common area and remove the pet fee. Always baffled as to why hotels feel entitled to charge fees for pets when thorough cleaning is needed for all visitors, whether two-legged or four.

This is my second stay at this hotel, and once again, I was thoroughly impressed! Interestingly, I flew in from the Netherlands, where I currently live, and found myself at Amsterdam Inn & Suites—a touch of Dutch charm right here. The hotel exudes cleanliness and attention to detail: the bathroom has gleaming white tiles without a single stain or speck of mold, and the toilet was spotless. The room itself is spacious, tidy, and has a fresh, clean scent. I have a very sensitive nose when it comes to dust, but I didn’t detect any—just pure cleanliness.
The atmosphere is wonderfully quiet, making it perfect for a restful night’s sleep. The facilities are well-maintained and immaculate, and the staff are incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful—exactly the kind of service guests appreciate. The breakfast is varied, offering plenty of delicious options, and the hotel is conveniently located near shopping areas and restaurants.

Booked a room here when a previous booking didn't pan out.
Room was very clean, and had a coffee maker, fridge with freezer portion, two queen beds so we had so many pillows!
Breakfast was amazing, with a pancake maker machine, 4 dried cereals, bread and bagels, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon (pre-cooked), hash browns, coffee, tea, 3 types of juice, it was a great start to the day.
Location was central (we traveled from Norton to Saint John), gas station and grocery store within a 5 minute drive.
Would recommend this place to anyone traveling in the area.

Recently I booked 2 nights and 3 rooms for 3 families at Quality Inn & Suites Amsterdam on July 15th and July 24th. I called the hotel about July 15th and told them our flight arrived late around 1 am. And the front desk (Tina) said their shuttle service would not be available during that hour. I told them that I totally understood the situation and asked them to give me the contact of the local Taxi service. Then our friends and my family took the Taxi from the airport to the hotel. But the next morning they told us that there were no people available to run the shuttle service to the airport. So we called the Taxi again to go to the airport to get our rental cars. I told them we would come back on July 24th and needed the shuttle service to the airport. The trip from the hotel to the airport is about 10 minutes. On July 25th I asked them about the shuttle service to the airport and they said the shuttle service was not available again. There are 3 staff working at the front desk who told me different reasons why they were not providing the shuttle service. One person was saying the shuttle service would not operate due to COVID. And one person was saying that the shuttle driver was not there. Finally, the manager (Eugene) said that they did not provide the shuttle service. This was 7:30 am on July 25 and we were planning to go to the airport around 10 am. So they gave us the same Taxi service contact again. The shuttle service is on the hotel’s billboard. The staff could provide us a reasonable excuse not to provide the shuttle services and did not have to lie about this with different excuses.

We stayed here overnight on our way to NS. Front desk staff was very friendly and checked us in quickly. We had a King suite with Jacuzzi and it was huge, you would think its almost an apartment.
As an IT professional, I double check the status of the wifi and found it was quite unsecure. When connecting all devices are on a single network and can see each other, even the hotels core devices. Even with a VPN, you would not be 100% safe from the wrong person. I have advised the staff to get their IT company to enable client isolation. Good reason to use a travel router.
The pool was a bit of a disapointment, its quite small and does not allow jumping. I believe it was about 4ft deep.
The breakfast was quite good, the problem was within 30 mins of it ending, items were empty yet guests were still coming in disapointmented. They told us its closing soon and not worth stocking it and some items they have run out of. That not how you run a resturant by the way. If my rate included breakfast, I want there to be items to eat.
Despite this I would be back if they made an attempt to correct a few things.

Since we are in the middle of a pandemic I would be willing to cut hotels some slack on service level. However, I was surprised that even though this hotel seemed to have hardly anyone else present (It was a near ghost town, the entire 2 day stay we saw no one whatsoever except when we called from the front desk), we were still checked into a room with drywall spackle all over multiple walls, looking like it was under renovation, and no one told us about this. Surely a different room of the same configuration could have been chosen since the hotel seemed to be a ghost town. Bed was also quite uncomfortable.
I've paid less money and stayed in far nicer rooms *outside* the pandemic.For the price paid I was not satisfied. I would recommend staying at a nicer hotel in the city.

Didn’t end up staying even though I pre-booked. The poor registrar was overwhelmed at the desk because they were fully booked and the wifi was down. He checked me in, I went up to the room, checked the bed and found evidence of bed bugs. When I asked to change rooms, he apologized and said they were sold out and had nowhere to put my dad and I. He didn’t charge us and we left. Thankfully I was able to find another place to stay about 30 minutes away.

Nicely situated close to Saint John. Last minute booking and they had a king suite available. Wow ! Large room with full bathroom, a king size bed that was very comfortable with a jacuzzi and a fireplace. Nice large windows that open to let in cool fresh air at night. The room was very clean and everything seems fairly new. There was a microwave, mini fridge and keurig coffee machine. The hot breakfast was included 6 to 10am. The first day they had great crispy bacon (but not the 2nd day) and sausages, eggs, waffles, etc. as expected from many Choices Hotel. The seating area was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was impressed with this Quality Inn and found it a great value for the price.

After having an issue with a booking this past weekend, I contacted the hotel to see if we could work some sort of agreement. The supervisor informed me that there was nothing that could be done. I had left a message on the manager’s Voice mail asking them to return my call but no one did. I called again and asked The supervisor with whom I spoke with once again to be connected with the manager and the supervisor said there was no reason for me to talk to the manager because all the answers she was giving me came from management. When I asked the supervisor why they do not contact guests when they see they have a booking for 4 days and do not show up after a few days… she un politely said “It’s not our job to babysit and tuck in clients here.” The service was very rude and disrespectful.
