I forget the year, but it was around 2000. The accomadatioms were excellent and the facilitiew, pool, beach, etc were well kept. We found the town easily accessible by foot, but we were out of the high traffic area. The local buses enablerd us to enjoy the entire island easily. The owners residence was right next door, which was convenient.

12 Degrees North provides a cultivated and refined hospitality experience. It ought to. The host Joe Gaylord has run the hotel for almost forty years and is the American longest in residence on the island. It is the subtle aspects of hospitality that he has mastered. Attentive personal housekeeping / cooking / laundry service adds inestimable value to the experience....

We just returned from a stay at Twelve Degrees North. We really have only good things to say. It was just as described in others' reviews. Our favorite parts of the trip: Selwyn Maxwell's day-long tour with lunch at Almost Paradise - yum. The water and deck. Joe Gaylord's kind and personal attention. The convenience of the apartment. The stunningly...

Twelve degrees north is a special place with a different tempo and more personal feel than the usual Carribean resort. It's small size allows the visitors to interact when they want, joining each other spontaneously to watch the green flash as the sun sets every evening. Each morning a competent and friendly Grenadian that is exquisitely trained comes to your...

Twenty two and a half years ago my friend and I checked into Twelve Degrees North as friends and checked out as husband and wife. Although we traveled to Grenada with wedding rings and the blessings of both families, we were not sure we would get married there and certainly had made no specific wedding plans. Soon after we arrived...

My new husband and I spent 1 week of Honeymoon bliss on Joe's little slice of Paradise from Sept 5-12. We were treated like royalty from the second we arrived. Joe, the owner of Twelve Degrees North met us with rum punch and money for our cab fare. He showed us to our apartment and invited us to make ourselves...

Twelve Degrees North is a small inn that has a wonderful private Beach with Snorkeling right off the dock! The location is private with easy access to things and the grounds are well kept with a lovely pool area. The suites are comfortable and spacious. Our host, Joe Gaylord was gracious and accomodating. He was helpful in all aspects. Every...

My new wife and i just got back from 12DN and had a great time. It's a small, quiet, intimate hotel with outstanding service and views. We stayed in 2A and Yvonne was our wonderful cook and housekeeper. Our first impression was shaped by Joe Gaylord's service - we arrived and realized we left a bag back at the airport...

We had an awesome time in Grenada, and the best thing was there was very few tourists. Grenada is still cleaning up from Ivan and it was a sobering education to see what had happened. The resilliance and positive attitude of the locals we met amazed us. Aside from that, Twelve Degrees North proved to be a great resort in...

We have just returned from 12 Degrees North and the place is as wonderful as ever. Ivan's damage to the apartments has been repaired and they sparkle. A few trees may be missing but the views are even better and the grounds lush and beautifully cared for. Donna, like all the 12 Degrees housekeepers, cleaned, cooked, laundered and tended to...
