This is a modern property lovely and light and good size rooms. Hosts Sheila and Sam are very friendly and welcoming. All rooms have a TV, a kettle and little touches like a bottle of water and a packet of biscuits. They were happy to let us use the breakfast room to gather for a drink, and to use the...

We just happened to stumble upon this place and that was the best luck ever!! Is so nice, complete with headed floors and towel racks. We got a traditional Irish breakfast and true Irish warmth. The only downfall was we couldn't stay longer. I recommend this place to all my friends. Sam and Sheila were the best!!

We had a wonderful time at the Forgefield House. Our hosts were very friendly and took great care of us. We especially enjoyed the generous cooked breakfast. The location was just a short drive from downtown Kenmare and was a good jumping off point for our drive around the Ring of Beara. They also helped us with directions and suggestions...

We love B and Bs, and many of them are terrific, but we can't say enough about our fabulous 3 day experience at Forgefield House in Kenmare. Sheila and Sam are perfect hosts. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed, comfortable, and delighted with our choice. The bedroom is exceptionally roomy, filled with sunlight and a spectacular view of...

We had a very special long few days thanks to Sheila & Sam and their lovely b&b. They took so much trouble to make sure we had everything we needed and to give us lots of tips about the area. We felt totally at home and relaxed, and fell in love with Kenmare and the stunning countryside. Thoroughly recommended!

We stopped one night on a cycle tour and really enjoyed the luxury of a huge bedroom, well-appointed bathroom and generous breakfast. Sheila and Sam made us very welcome and will definitely stay again on our next visit to Kenmare.

Our room at the Forgefield house was one of the most comfortable we had on our trip to Ireland. The large pillow top bed with lots of pillows was wonderful. Our room was on the main level next to the front door, but it was still very quiet and very comfortable. The room was exceptionally large and impeccably clean. The...

We stayed here in September and we're delighted that we did. Sheila and Sam were excellent hosts and very helpful with all their suggestions. Our room was large and very well appointed and the views were gorgeous. We were pleased that we stayed away from the busy town but a car would be necessary as it is a long walk...

If I could, I would! Sheila and Sam have a wonderful home, and the pride and love of what they do is evident. My family of four stayed 2 nights in July and we felt like we were staying with friends. We stayed in a spacious family suite that provided gorgeous views and contained everything we needed for our stay:...

Sheila and Sam are welcoming and committed hosts. Our room was spacious and lovely. The breakfasts were well-prepared and served with great care. Sheila and Sam were clear about the fact their B & B is a short distance from Kenmare. This was no impediment to a good experience. They happily took us to and from Kenmare allowing us to...

“All rooms are quiet. The House is wheelchair accessible on the first floor.”

“The rooms upstairs share a bathroom, but it's huge, so if you're a family and you're okay with that, I'd book the rooms upstairs. The downstairs room is very spacious, but the sunrise greets you really early and really bright. The beds are beyond comfortable in each room, though. You can't go wrong in whichever room you choose.”

“If using Kenmare as a base for the Ring of Kerry - I suggest getting an early start and driving the ring Counter-Clockwise. Tour buses start going around Clockwise and you won't get stuck driving behind a bus as you make your way around.”
