We had never visited Kenmare and wanted a short weekend break that wasn't too far from where we live. Kenmare is about one and half hours away from our home. I looked for a B&B as we wanted to explore Kenmare and surrounds and therefore didn't want to pay exorbitant rates for simply sleeping! The Lodge is PERFECT! Rosemary is...

4 of us (2 couples) went to Kenmare for New Years Eve 2012 . We booked 2 double rooms in The Lodge. We arrived mid afternoon and were greeted by Rosemary and shown to our room. The house has a mix of styles. A lot thought, effort and investment has gone into it. Our room was large with a very...

I don't know who's responsibility it is (Hotels.com or the Lodge), but we shouldn't have been able to make a reservation for a hotel that is closed. We found an even better option in town, but it was very inconvenient when arriving to town in the early evening and realizing you don't have a place to stay. Thankfully it was...

What a pleasure it was to arrive at The Lodge in Kenmare. I arrived with a miserable cold and Rosemary made me feel like a long-lost relative coming home. She was back in our cozy room in a flash with hot water, lemon and cloves, and the recipe for a hot whiskey. That's Irish hospitality! The Lodge is sweet, pristinely...

We stayed in the Honeysuckle family room for one night, the room was large and very comfortable. The location was just off the main street and very walkable to town. The breakfast was great with lots of food selections and linen tablecloth and napkins! The Lodge was very quiet we thought we were only guests but discovered at breakfast there...

We found The Lodge in Kenmare via Expedia and were pleased they offered a family room option that could accommodate four adults. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly and very capable young man of about 12 or 13. He checked us in, gave us our room keys, and even offered recommendations for restaurants in town. The room itself...

Stayed for a night in May enroute from Killarney to Dingle while doing the ring of Kerry. Nice spacious room. Rooms are old charm but still have modern amenities. Short distance to the town center. Quiet & opposite to a golf course. Big tub + shower in the bath room; Great breakfast. Friendly host. Great spring off to Ring of...

Extremely comfortable and spacious rooms does not luxury make. Instant coffee, tea in tea bags and dodgy mass-produced jams are not 4 star ingredients. There is no excuse, as Ireland seems generally aware of what decent coffee is, and there are locally made jams plentiful as rain clouds. The wi-fi was "down", with no offer to assist, suggest alternatives, or...
