Never having been to Southern Ireland before, I was looking forward to calm and peace and Muxnaw Lodge did not disappoint. We stayed in the Mews - a detached one-bedroom cottage in the grounds of the Lodge - and was greeted with freshly baked bread and cakes. The Mews itself has its own living space, a well kitted kitchen and...

We were delighted with every aspect of our stay at Muxnaw Lodge. The house is beautiful both outside and in with views to die for. Hannah's warmth, enthusiasm and spot on tips for where to eat, drink, walk and relax all added to perfect the mix. Her home made bread and jams totally delicious. We really didn't want to leave!...

Kenmare was a great location for exploring Killarney NP, Beara peninsula, Ring of Kerry and this mansion house was a beautiful refuge from which to do it. One of us had gotten I'll 2 days before and needed to rest. All others wanted to explore Killarney but didn't want to abandon him. Owner Hannah came to our9 rescue. She got...

Sadly we only stayed one night. It was a lovely room with a view over the river to the town; great big bathroom; yummy brekkie with a range of choices; excellent Irish hospitality. Oh and the views are to die for. Thanks Hannah

This place was so wonderful! Hannah was such a wonderful hostess. She takes such pride in her home. It is a lovely home overlooking the water. Rooms were nice and quite large for the area. Short walk into kenmare. Peaceful area away from all the hustle and bustle of tourist. So glad we read the reviews and stayed in kenmare....

This b&b is very well located, just a 5 minute walk from the town centre. The interior of our sea-facing room was very antique, with old furniture and a very quaint feel. The room and bathroom were very clean, which is very important. The breakfast was lovely and filling and they supplied a few different homemade breads which were delicious....

Located just outside town, next to the river. Imposing great building, nice room, great Irish breakfast, and last but not least a very attentive and friendly hostess. Recommended. Kenmare us an interesting village, comprising a triangle of roads with numerous bars, pubs and restaurants. A great stopover on the Kerry circuit.

Very peacefull charming hostess fine breakfast would recommend for a relaxing visit. One of the better aspects of our visit to Kenmare where we found that the abundance of tourists where i found that the Kerry charm had turned to greed and insousence in the "explorers " (clue) restaurant.

Hannah, our hostess, was very accommodating when we ran into a travel snag causing us to be later than planned. She was also a wonderful source of information about Kenmare, its history and amenities. The view from our room was absolutely stunning. Watching the tidal flows of the river and the play of light on the hills beyond town were...

This two bed cottage sits at the back of the main house and still affords good if more restricted views of an area of great beauty. Full cream milk, real Irish butter and a freshly baked wheaten loaf was a thoughtful touch to our warm welcome. Pretty much every kitchen amenity was included, from fridge, oven and microwave to dishwasher,...
