We stayed late May, 2015. Carmel was a wonderful host and she really helped us along tremendously!! Great tips on things to see & do, and premium customer service. The B&B is fantastic, the host were wonderful, and the food was delicious! Take the back road into Kenmare off the beaten path. Our only wish was that we could've stayed... More

We have just arrived back from staying at lissyclearig and felt compelled to write a review straight away after a lovely night in such a beautiful and unique building. Carmel was a fantastic host when we met her this morning, it was her son who met us in last night. After a perfectly cooked and much needed breakfast Carmel was... More

We really enjoyed staying at this owner built B and B. Our bicycles were allowed inside too which was nice for them. It was easy to cycle into Kenmare to eat, and our breafast the next morning was excellent. As we were about to ascent Moll's Gap a good breakfast was rather essential...

Having stayed in numerous B&Bs in both Northern Ireland and ROI over the past week, this was the first time we have been offered a coffee on arrival. Carmel, made us feel very welcome indeed. The accommodation is cute and different and I really am struggling to fault it. We were in an upstairs room (No. 4) and the bed... More

We had a very positive experience at the Breens' B&B . The owners were very pleasant and welcoming and eager to make our stay a good one. Very reasonable and breakfast included was wonderful! Recommendations for dinner and other activities were also given to us. It was wonderful to meet real people from Ireland and have a chance to get... More

This is an absolutely adorable and fantastic little B&B. It was our first ever to stay at, and we really truly enjoyed it. Carmel is as sweet as any southern belle and a fantastic cook. Her tomatoes in the morning? astounding! Its an adorable little cottage set outside of town, just go out past the hospital and keep to the... More

This was our only B&B on our trip and we weren't disappointed. Our hostess, Carmel was very friendly and non-intrusive, we were welcomed with a tea and cookies and asked for our wake up breakfast time. The decor is very homey, lots of family pictures in the sitting room. The location is on the outskirts of Kenmare on a very... More

Stay here just because it's different -- and cheap. We were traveling through Ireland with our two teenagers, often taking two rooms to accommodate all four of us, and this was far and away the best bargain of our whole trip. The property is just unusual. Stay, if for no other reason, than to experience this unique thatched roof home,... More
