Staying for nearly a week we felt at home soon. The host was friendly and helpful in any inqiries and from our room we had a nice view over Dingle Bay. As we are two friends (and not lovers) we were happy to have two seperate beds. Everything was well organised and we loved the spacious bathroom with a rooflight. The advantage of having quiet nights outweighed the short walk uphill by far.

Good location, a short walk up from town. Quiet, with easy on street parking in front. The owners (mother and son) were very friendly and helpful. We asked for 2 beds and we ended up in a ground floor, family room with 3 beds (two doubles and a twin). The doubles were aging but okay. The twin was very comfy. My only complaint is that there was no food on site (despite having read that breakfast was available for an extra charge). There was a lovely breakfast room that was not in use. No breakfast was offered, not even for an extra fee. This was an inconvenience because there were only a few places in Dingle offering breakfast and they were 5 or 10 minutes walk and they didn't open until 9 am. (The best breakfast we found was at "The Dingle Diner.") So our days had to start a bit later than if we could eat breakfast at 7:30 or 8 at the B&B (no B). Mainly because of this shortfall, I would be hesitant to recommend this place.

Bolands was a lovely place to stay in Dingle, my favorite place in Ireland! Brida, the host, knows how to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The place is clean, well located, and just up the street from all of the pubs with music (which is one of the reasons that Dingle is such a great place to visit.)

My family and I enjoyed our stay in Dingle!! We stayed at Bolands for three nights and that gave us plenty of time to explore the area. The location is perfect as it is walking distance to nearly everything in town. Our rooms were small, but clean. Considering all we did was sleep and shower they were perfect!

Bolands is a fairly average place to lay your head, in the context of what's average in Ireland, but that shouldn't be taken as criticism, as it's definitely a nice place to rest your weary bones after a day of trekking around the spectacular Dingle peninsula. What might just make it your best choice of lodgings, is the beautiful view. Ask for one of the upstairs rooms with a view when you book, and you won't be sorry. Boland's is located near the top of the hill in Dingle town, so if you leave for a pint or dinner, you'll be walking uphill afterwards, but believe me, it's worth every ounce of expended energy for that view. I'd stay there again anytime.

We spent 1 night at the Boland B & B on Goat St in Dingle and it was a great place to stay! Breda was a great host and very helpful. We will stay there again on the next trip, maybe a couple of nights!

The distance to "downtown" was okay (5 minutes walk). The price for this "in" place was high, but still just acceptable.

The bathroom had ventilation problems and deserves the title of creepy! The rooms are tiny. The light transmittance of the curtains was enormous.
There were crackling plastic sheets on the mattress!
The staff was overwhelmed for breakfast: coffee and Irish Breakfast could only be separated and taken in stages.
At booking time no more single room were available. So I booked (months in advance) for our friend a double with clear message in the local language, that it is only one guest in this room, and if a single room should available, he would favor this, if not, then definitely he takes the double room.
This message the lady of the house apparently did'nt read, but was irritated that only one person tired out there. After explanation and presentation of the printed confirmation message she offered, including that they would only charge a single room. We thanked her and took off.

(by the way:.! The "Dick Mack's" is really a show in terms of authentic Irish pubs, but that's about even for Dingle completely overrated and overcrowded, it showed uncomfortable at the attention of the restaurant staff, and "I will so do not bother ...").

In the morning she had probably forgotten as she calmly took off our friend the same as us, although he really did'nt eat for two. Since we paid separately, I only found out after the departure. Obviously he wanted to avoid trouble to save €30.-- (because I booked and organized the trip) - but I had done it!

We booked late so a lot of the B&Bs had no vacancies already. I was prepared to be disappointed by this B&B. Quite the contrary experience. This place was clean, well equipped and professionally managed. Rooms were spacious, each ensuite.

Pricing was lower than other B&Bs on out trip.

One unusual attribute to this B&B is that it's pet friendly or at least that's what I had read. The only pet I saw was the owner's dog though. I have allergies to cats and dogs so when I learned they allowed pets I was apprehensive.

Very clean rooms, no allergy issues for me or my wife who is even my allergic than me.

Location was ~ one block off of Dingle town center. Very walkable; albeit, the B&B is located at the top of the hill so expect the hike back up the hill if you're on foot.

Terrific concert at St. James Church on a Monday night. The musicians were excellent; program varied and it started at 7:30 pm instead of the usual 9-9:30 pm that the music starts in the pubs. We love the music but are not into pub "crawling".
