Truly beautiful views from up on the hill. The rooms were perfect and very clean. The breakfast room is amazing and the food and service was delicious. Many little details and personal touches that make a great visit. Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing stay.
We had looked at ratings and decided on Pax House, but our experience went beyond our expectations. John is a jack of all trades, and has your experience at the center of his service. Bed turned down, luggage assistance, and even a little treat as...More
Not enough words to describe this lovely hotel. My husband and I stayed here for a few days in October and just absolutely loved it.

We stayed here on a trip in the November off-season and still had a wonderful time. The location is perfectly situated a moderate (15ish minutes) outside of town, so it's nice and quiet but you can easily head into town for activities. Very easy to...More
Accommodations were simply amazing! Warm welcome with elegant surroundings. Views were spectacular! Breakfast was outstanding with a beautiful presentation and cooked to order. Loved my stay and wished I could of stayed much longer.

Your best bet to help select the room that is right for you is to email the owner, John O’Farrell through the Pax House website with your dates. He helped me choose the first year I stayed with him. I’ve stayed there twice (in November). I don’t think you can go wrong with any room at Pax House. There are great views from the lounge for all guests and a terrace that is accessible from the lounge. But... if you have a sea view room, you could turn off your lights at night to see the view with no reflections in glass windows... If you want a terrace room, you may be visible while in your room (with the blinds open) to other guests walking on the lawn. But I’m not sure about that. It was always something I considered when selecting a room. For that reason, I myself would probably opt for the Top of the House room given the rooms you are considering.
