I spent 2 nights here on a mini staycation with my partner. Pax guest house is the best accommodation I have ever stayed in it is truly a 5 star experience. John the host and his staff are amazing and really take care of all the guests to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. The room we stayed in was absolutely stunning with an amazing view looking out at dingle Bay and was beautifully decorated. We previously visited the residents before our trip and were shown all the different types of rooms (all of them look out towards the water). the bed was incredibly comfortable and we had a fantastic nights sleeps. They also had full blackout blinds which was perfect as my partner is a very light sleeper and the morning light usually would disturb him however it was not an issue.
Breakfast was absolutely beautiful both mornings the food was fantastic and also came with an extra tier display for each table filled with yogurt, scones, overnight oats and fruit salads. Again I believe it was John's wife Michelle serving at breakfast and it was a lovely relaxing experience in a beautiful breakfast room with a fab view of the water.
The Guest house is only a short 10 minute walk into dingle but the view you get is honestly the best part of the entire experience.
I absolutely recommend this place for a romantic weekend getaway it was truly a fabulous experience so much attention to detail and clearly passionate about providing a fantastic stay for all guests. Simply 10/10

Just returned from a short stay at Pax with my Mum…we were blown away and only wished we could stay longer. All of the reviews here are completely accurate as Pax Guest House is easily the best guesthouse I have ever experienced. I really appreciate the extra steps that have been taken here as it is a pleasure to receive the amazing service which one is paying for. John works tirelessly to ensure guests are made to feel comfortable. All of the staff are so kind and welcoming. The guest house is so tastefully decorated with amazing artwork and quirky interiors. Jules the dog contributes to the homely feeling which one inevitably experiences from the moment one enters the front door. The location is ideal…just a stones throw from the town centre, views are spectacular, everything is spotlessly clean and I barely have the words to describe breakfast as the quality, choice and attention to detail are truly remarkable. Everything is freshly cooked and delicious and the choices are varied and interesting. We simply couldn’t resist over-indulging when it came to the home-baked array of cakes, breads and scones!! This spot is not to be missed if one is visiting Dingle. Thanks to John and all the team as you are doing an amazing job.

This is 5*plus accommodation, location is perfect (about 5 min walk to Dingle), the views are breath taking, the house itself is so comfortable & spotless. John is a wonderful host from the minute you arrive with a lovely welcome and remembers everyone's name. The breakfast has to be experienced, choice and quality is amazing. Beds are so comfy, towels are soft and smell amazing. Staff all lovely! Can't wait to return and would highly recommend Pax.

There is that saying "if it was easy, then everyone would be doing it".

Part of the beauty of Pax House is that it looks in some ways, so simple. Elegant and tastefully furnished from top to toe, it exudes a serene calm, from the moment you cross the threshold and are greeted like an actual human, by other humans, who seem to like that fact that you are visiting, and do their utmost to ensure your stay is a relaxing and enjoyable experience. They succeed across the board.

The proprietor, John, sets the tone. It's clearly his attention to detail that shows in every square inch of the place, from the relaxing atmosphere, the decor, the whirring-yet-friendly service, the amazing breakfasts. The staff were very friendly and The views are not his doing, but he chose to frame them brilliantly from lounge, breakfast room and bedrooms, so that they form a constant element of the Pax stay.

We were here for the first time in September for a three night stay, while we did some walking/cycling and eating/drinking in Dingle. It was absolutely fantastic in every regard. I loved the breakfasts, which had the equivalent of a "high tea" presentation of both pastries and fruit/yoghurt cups (well, shot glasses actually), along with a cooked option which has something for everyone. You sit looking out across Dingle harbour and out to the Atlantic, with the Ring of Kerry and Valentia in the distance. Boats wander out from Dingle (some fishing, some touring). Time passes. Maybe I'll have more coffee and just look out the window some more ...

The rooms are great - top notch across the board. We had splurged on one of the rooms that had a small patio out back, where you can sit and watch the world go by. Binoculars and blankets are provided (see John "attention to detail" comment above).

I've only stayed in a few places where you feel this comfortable, this quickly; where it feels like home. Where you really don't want to leave, even after three days.

Bravo to John and the whole team at Pax. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. They're not. But you are.

We arrived in Pax house to stay for one night and immediately booked a second. John is an incredible host, his attention to detail, friendliness and real desire for your trip to be perfect is a rare find.

The rooms are spotless with big comfy beds, the finest bed linen, gleaming bathrooms and fluffy towels you will even find a torch and high viz jackets to keep you safe during your ten minute stroll into Dingle.
Our room had a dual aspect allowing us to fully enjoy the spectacular views from our balcony.

Watching the sun setting over Dingle bay while drinking a bottle of Johns lovely wine was perfection.

Where to start describing breakfast! You need to experience it yourself but all I will say it was the best I have ever had.
Visit Pax house, spend time relaxing in this stunning home, you will not regret it we are already planning our return.

We stayed in the 'top of the house' room for two nights which has the most incredible view of Dingle bay, it's definitely worth the extra money for the space and views. We were greeted by John the owner & his gorgeous friendly gentle dog Jules on arrival. John instantly made us feel welcome and insisted on sorting out our dinner plans for that evening as we hadn't made a reservation and Dingle was extremely busy. The attention to detail is what really struck us; from the high-vis vests in the rooms to the most exquisite breakfast I have ever had. The decor is so fresh, bright and calming with lots of beautiful artwork; the views from the living area are unbeatable and we felt safe with regards to Covid precautions. There is something extra special about this guesthouse and we will definitely be returning next year.

We are currently on our last night at the guesthouse sadly! From start to finish, John was professional, friendly and nothing was a hassle during our stay. When we arrived at the guesthouse, we were greeted by John and the lovely dog Jules! We noticed the lovely art work straight away. Each room has a name and matches with one of the paintings. We received coffee and shortbread biscuits and we were also offered coffee or tea throughout our stay which was so nice! Our room was spotless and there were many things that really impressed us including the comfortable bed, fresh flowers and the luxurious shampoo and conditioner offered. The room also had a nespresso machine. The breakfast was outstanding and the staff worked so hard to make sure everyone had plenty of everything! We had pancakes, scones and cakes as well as juices and coffee. The bread was homemade and tasted amazing! In the evening John treats his guests to a little baileys and a chocolate which is a lovely touch! I would highly recommend this guesthouse as you get a 5 star experience in a beautiful place!

Pax House is just gorgeous. Our host John was very welcoming and had an uncanny memory for names. He called all his patrons by their first name upon arrival and made no mistakes. The room was spacious, beautifully appointed, ultra clean with a spectacular view of Dingle Bay and Fungi. The lounge was so comfortable and the attention to detail, the eclectic art works and pieces - was impressive. But the piece de resistance is the breakfast. Cooked by John, served by friendly staff (especially the young man not dissimilar to Conal of Normal People!!!) - the breakfast was truly a gourmet experience and not to be missed. Would highly recommend Pax House.

We stayed at Pax House for 3 days at the end of July and we cannot praise the hotel, owner John and all of the staff highly enough.
They were so accommodating with any needs or requests we had in the lead up to our stay and during. The hotel is in such a beautiful location with stunning views over Dingle bay.
We struggled to find a staycation that would allow us to bring our Basset Hound George with us but Pax House happily accommodated us, with dog rules (as you would expect going anywhere with your dog) George was more than happy to follow the rules and had great fun playing with the gorgeous hotel dog Jules.
The rooms were finished to a very high standard, we couldn't have asked for anything more.

The breakfasts are delicious! Loved the concept!

John is also extremely helpful if you need any advise for what to do or where to eat around Dingle.
We would highly recommend Pax House to anyone looking to explore Dingle and the surrounding areas whether you have a well behaved dog or not - but if you are looking to bring your dog contact John before making a booking so he can advise you.

10 out of 10 from us and we definitely will be back in the future, and will be recommending to friends and family.

Mhairi, Dean & George

My husband & I stayed for one night in Pax house before heading to Killarney & we already cannot wait to book in for a longer stay! Everything about the place is special - the attention to detail is so impressive, the artwork & furnishings which the owner has been curating over the last decade + is stunningly put together - understated luxury at its best. John the owner is an absolute gentleman who ensured we were so looked after and made us feel right at home. We stayed in a terrace room which was gorgeous with stunning views of the sea and surrounding countryside. The little dog jules who lives in the house is such a sweetheart too & if you’re a dog lover rest assured you’ll get plenty of cuddles! They have one room suitable if you’re staying with your dog so book well in advance.
There are 16 rooms & a lovely couple who me met at breakfast advised that all rooms are lovely as they’d stayed multiple times.
The b&b is a very short drive or 10 minute walk in to Dingle & all it has to offer.
The breakfast at Pax is one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had at a hotel/guesthouse!
The common area/reception room is idyllic and evening if you don’t get good weather you would have just as lovely a time reading a book & relaxing in the house.
Should you wish to explore the surrounding areas there is so much to do and John will advise you on the local area - he has an amazing book to take with you on the Slea Head drive too which in detail takes you through every landmark.
All in all it’s such a wonderful place I cannot fault it, the perfect spot for a tranquil relaxing getaway. We are going to book to stay again very soon! Thanks John for treating us so well.

Hannah & Richie

We only spent one night in Dingle and had a really great dinner at Doyle's - sole meuniere - the freshest fish in the yummiest butter. Also great pasta with mushrooms. Wish we could have eaten our way thru the menu. Heard that the Chart House is also very good.
