We stayed in Castlewood House for 5 nights and it was an excellent choice for visiting Dingle and the Slea Head drive. Owners Brian and Helen are very welcoming and have lots of recommendations for dinner in the town, and places to see around the peninsula. The B&B is quite new and is well kept. The 12 rooms are quiet... More

I can't rave enough about the Castlewood House It was the highlight of our trip. From the welcoming mimosa's, the tea and scones in the living room after a busy day and the port wine waiting for us at night we were treated like royalty. Brian and Helen were most helpful in arranging dinner reservations and mapping out important places... More

We stayed at a number of highly-rated hotels on our recent trip to Ireland, but the Castlewood House in Dingle stood out as the very best. The rooms are great, the proprietors welcoming, and the breakfasts fantastic. It is well worth its reasonable price. Its location is convenient to the restaurants and pubs of Dingle, a most interesting little town.... More

After a while at the Castlewood, I started suspecting they used sophisticated research. What is the exactly best water pressure in the shower? The exact firmness of the mattress for a superior night's sleep? The slant of the bathtub so that you can luxuriate without either cramping up or slipping underwater? What is the precisely best distance from the music... More

We had a lovely stay at this hotel - the rooms were cozy and the breakfast was outstanding. Just a short walk from town, which has a good selection of restaurants. We definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a luxurious stay in Dingle!

Booked at the last minute. It was one of the best B&Bs I have ever stayed ( ...and that is saying a lot) We arrived early and greeted by Brian with a relaxing cup of tea. We met Helen and after only a few minutes of conversation, felt like we were old friends. We later ran into her at the... More

We had a room on the front of the hotel facing the view which was wonderful. This b and b is lovely, clean, friendly, giving personal service for restaurants and things to do and more than delivers in all that in important in a hotel. Quiet, cleanliness and amazing breakfasts. Its no wonder it is almost always completely full. I... More

Dingle itself is a beautiful place! The Castlewood was a wonderful place to stay. Brian and Helen were great hosts and helpful in sharing information about the area. Brian contacted me before our arrival to offer assistance and made dinner reservations for us. The rooms were beautiful, spacious and the view of the bay was amazing! Breakfast was delicious...including the... More

Spent 3 nights here. First, the setting is incredibly beautiful. Dingle has been named the most beautiful place in the world and it is fitting. Given that, the accommodations could cut corners and provide a minimum level of service as everything is sold out. Not so with Castlewood. Run by Brian and Helen Heaton, this B&B rivals the best hotels... More
