The Dingle Benners Hotel is celebrated for its inviting Irish atmosphere and well-curated amenities such as a cozy bar and diverse breakfast options. While guests appreciate its central location and general cleanliness, opinions diverge on the rooms, with some finding them charming and spacious, and others feeling they are outdated.
The service quality receives mixed reviews, ranging from warm professionalism to occasional inattentiveness. Despite its convenient features, the value proposition is contentious; some guests feel it's not commensurate with the pricing, especially regarding the food and room rates.

The location was great, right in the middle of town and walking distance to everything. We were able to park the car easily each day behind the hotel after exploring the Dingle peninsula and beyond. We had rooms in the front of the hotel (a little noisy at night with windows open), so no elevator, but the rooms were spacious. The decor was a mixed bag of old, tired furniture with some new functional pieces, but the room and bathroom were clean. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. The breakfast was top notch. All in all, a nice stay and we will stay here again on our next visit.

Cosy hotel. Staff very friendly and efficient. Good breakfast. A group of us stayed over the weekend and they were very accommodating when we wanted a singsong in the bar after food was served. Parking off Dykegate Street was very handy and free to guests. All in all a very enjoyable experience

Benner's is an absolute winner of a small, in town hotel. We arrived to a very warm welcome and three extremely spacious, clean and well laid out twin bedrooms with more than capacious bathrooms. Book a room toward the rear as the festivities and live traditional music throughout the town will play on until the small hours. The beds and bed linens are super comfortable, crisp and cool. Breakfast is brilliantly organised and there is pretty much nothing you could want nor anything that they won't make for you, from soft poached eggs with grilled tomatoes to the most perfect eggs benedict. There is also a very cosy, friendly bar to retreat into by the entrance. Benners does all the little things well, and not just well, but with a willing smile and a genuine pride in upholding a very high standard. Service is second to none (I stupidly mislaid my travel bag & passport at a restaurant the night before departure and the front desk had it safely back to me in no time) and the entire staff were attentive and more than happy to help. You also can't fault the location with Dingle and all it's great pubs and restaurants on your doorstep. Benners reminds of one of those great country town hotels of my childhood - updated for the age of the bucket lister. Part large B&B, part boutique hotel without the attitude - a real old school charmer. Highly recommended.

This place is a can they have beautiful rooms pictured on booking.com but in reality the rooms are dumps. They put us in what they call the historic part of the hotel in realty it’s worse than a 1970’s hostel, tired and dated with rubbish furniture and the smallest double bed I’ve ever seen we were on the second floor and could hear machinery humming all night, the toilet takes an hour to refill after a flush, awful awful place. They say check in after 4 pm but they kept us waiting until almost 5pm before they would let us check in. They say on their website about breakfast being award winning, they must have been the only ones in the competition as it is bog standard basic. And they charge almost 300 euros a night, they should be ashamed of themselves. Whoever took the photos for their website should receive an award, they say the camera never lies this one does. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

Despite carefully planning which quiet, renovated room with a bathtub and view and having email correspondence ahead of time making notes in my booking, plus booking directly with the hotel myself to ensure there were no mix ups, I showed up Monday 8pm and my room had been given away - no other removated room with bath tub available. The only alternative offered was a much smaller, no view, room next to renvarions and kitchem noise so I couldn't nap during the day. The Swing shift gal was very apologetic, comped me a free drink, and I did get the medically necessary bathtub but... It's my very hard earned savings as a teacher coming all the way from the USA, and instead of enjoying my stay, I hate being in this room. I had to ask for a lower rate (which she gave me). My view from my bed... this wall.
Positive note - Breakfast was good!

The hotel is very centrally located and we had a very nice room with a lovely bed and a free parking. It was a bit loud in the evenings as our room was facing the street with lots of restaurants and bars. Unfortunately the room was on the 2 1/2 floor without a lift which both for my husband and myself who have issues with the legs was a bit of a problem. Furthermore we were disappointed about the friendliness of the staff which is very unusual for Ireland. Neither at the reception nor the staff in the breakfast room really seemed to care if you are ok. We had the feeling that only big groups of American tourists were given the right attention, the rest was rather neglected and if you asked something you had the feeling that you were disturbing.this was a real disappointment.

The service is terrible. Left waiting at reception for ages, receptionist actually left the desk as I arrived (asking about parking) and then a second time she answered the phone while I was actually checking in. I only stayed one night and walked in off street after an evening out to the outdoor space and was cornered. Only when I told them I was a resident did they say OK. Was told I could sit outside and someone would take my order. Was left waiting again and had to go into the bar to order and when I returned my table was gone. My room is overlooking a terrace that smokers are frequenting and the alley way of the outdoor space. Smoke, noise and no privacy. The shower is in bath and there was a soap holder hanging off the wall. So narrow a space I then realised why it's hanging off the wall as I injured my own arm off it. Very limited parking. No lift up to my room on first floor . For €250 a night when you can only check in at 4pm it's hugely disappointing.

Dear Clare, I am very surprised and disappointed to read your review. This is not at all in keeping with our service standards and you will see yourself from previous reviews, this is something I am very surprised to hear. We pride ourselves on our guest experience and this is not in keeping with our service standards which we provide. I would like to respectfully disagree on your view that we look down on solo travellers as we treat all of our guests with the same respect.  I am disappointed that you feel that your experience was disappointing - we would always ask that if you have any issue at all while here, that we are given the opportunity to rectify it while you are with us in the hotel. If you would like to discuss this please contact us directly. Regards, MiriamÂ

Benners is not somewhere that we immediately think of going to for a nice dinner in Dingle, though we often go there for coffee and scones, lunch or a drink, but with less choice during the winters months we ate here twice within a few weeks and both experiences were excellent. The dining room wasn't open so the dinner was in their lovely bar. They had a number of specials on each night and I choose from these. I had their Fish Pie the first time and the Hake with Prawns on my second visit. Both were delicious and served with a generous portion of vegetables and mashed potatoes. So refreshing not to be looking st fried food, coleslaw and chips! Booking in advance was vital as lots of people were being turned away. Service was excellent - good Irish hospitality. Looking forward to my next visit.

Though we haven’t actually stayed in Benners, the lounge area is extremely comfortable & relaxed. We often go for a coffee & fruit scone. However i wont be ordering a scone again. Each time I order a FRUIT scone there isnt any fruit in the scone. On one this occasion this week I actually had 1 sultana & today I had 2.My wife had none. In years past fruit scones had sultanas in but it seems as though Benners budget cuts have dictated to minimise the amount of dried fruit in their scones. I won’t order Benners scones again
