We visited Creevy pier hotel last Sunday evening and we never had a more pleasant experience I would say in our lives.
The location and setting on any day transcends anywhere in this incredible beautiful county.
We were met immeasitely at entrance by the most professional articulate courteous young lady a girl by the name of Andrea
We did not take the sea view seats offered as we sat with people we knew
I had seafood chowder and my partner had a ceaser salad
The quality presentation and taste and service surpassed anything one could r should expect. All at a very reasonable price
Jewels like Creevy pier should be supported at every conceivable opportunity and staff in this difficult sector should be elevated T every possible opportunity especially Andrea in Creevy pier.

Came down to the hotel to get dinner. We hadn't booked and they couldn't fit us in. No problem, totally understand that. We decided to stay for a few drinks and enjoy the stunning view at the front of the hotel. Staff were very friendly, drinks were lovely. BUT we spent around €80 on drinks over the evening and were not allowed to use the hotel toilets due to covid. We had to use the outdoor loos provided for swimmers etc. Paying by card we were told we could not create a tab but the WiFi didn't work outside so they were very particular about the procedure: order drinks, wait for them to arrive, then go inside to use the card machine. At which point several staff members seemed obliged to stop us and explain non guests were not allowed inside. At this point we realised all the food was coming out in take away boxes (I wouldn't have been impressed if I had a booking). Queried with the waitress why the drinks tables couldn't order something if it was all take away but she just responded 'sorry fully booked'. Found it a bit confusing that the hotel was in no way willing to go out of their way for paying customers, especially after the difficult 18 months the hospitality industry has gone through.

Thank goodness for Keith and all staff at the Creevy Pier. In late September 2020, 5 days before our already postponed wedding, two venues cancelled on us due to our small numbers. COVID restrictions at the time only allowed for 25 guests, which was not financially feasible for larger venues. We contacted Keith in a panic, who immediately responded (after thoroughly checking out all covid safety guidelines for weddings) to let us know he could accommodate us. We had our ceremony and reception in the hotel looking right over Donegal Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. All the staff were so accommodating in the days before and the day of the wedding, with particular mention to manager Megan and Hotel owner Keith. The beautiful ocean themed interior of the hotel fit perfectly with what we had in mind for our wedding theme. The food was superb, perfect quality and quantity. The atmosphere was cosy, warm and relaxed, which is what we always wanted for our wedding day. I can’t recommend the Creevy Pier enough for a a small intimate wedding. Thanks for saving the day!

Very disappointed with our visit to Creevy Pier Hotel and restaurant. Whilst the menu may look impressive, the food was overcooked, overpriced and underseasoned. The service we recieved was average at best and did not reflect the high cost of the meal.

The male toilets were in a disgusting state and hand sanitiser stations were empty. I would not recommend visiting.

Just had a fantastic stay in Creevy Pier. I’ve been here many times over the years for dinner, and have always found the food to be delicious, and the view unrivalled; so we chose this for a special family birthday dinner, and we were not disappointed. We were a large group of all ages - from 1 to 74, and many of us stayed the night in the hotel also. From start to finish, the night was amazing. The food was prompt and tasty, the entertainment was fantastic, the bedrooms were brilliant value for money, and the breakfast was hearty. Everyone we dealt with, from John, to our servers, to the night porter, were so friendly and helpful. Couldn’t recommend it more. Thanks for making our night such a success!

was recommended to come here by friends. serious let down. have since not been speaking to the friends. whole friend group has actually been disbanned due to this monstrosity. i went for a family dinner december just passed and it was a truly gruesome experience. i drove the whole way from killarney and so i was strongly urged to the bathroom after the long drive and to my disgust i found a rather large leak coming from the ceiling. although the young employees were fantsatic. lovely friendly staff, the food was nightmarish. my chips were cold. chicken must have been cooked with a hair dryer. i found a hair in my husbands mashed potatos and a rather unhygienic looking woman in no uniform i seen coming from the kitchen fed to my horror. i will not be returning. ruins such a lovely pier in donegal, in fact will not be returning to donegal at all.

Stayed 2 nights first week open after covid lockdown. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Rooms are a little small and maybe need an update but with such a beautiful setting who does any more than sleep in their room. Bed was so comfy we both slept really well.
The breakfast was table service but selection was still excellent. With a beautiful sea view.
We had dinner both nights salmon & prawn tagliatelle was amazing. Missed out on lunch as we hadn’t booked so in future will definitely book.
There seems to be pier fishing for those interested in it. No license or permit needed. Scenery in the area is beautiful we were lucky to see a beautiful sunset over to sea during our stay.
We were unable to sit at the bar due to restrictions but the staff looked after all of our requests for service.
All of the current guidelines were adhered to.
If you looking a fancy room then Creevy pier is not for you.
If you want beautiful scenery fantastic food and friendly staff then it’s exactly what your after. Book your table for food as it does get busy.
We loved it we have booked for 3 nights next time.

The most relaxing hotel with beautiful views. Delicious food and friendly staff.
Room was clean warm and very comfortable. Not serviced daily due to covid restrictions but clean towels etc were provided daily.
Breakfast was table service with fruit, juice, scones and cereal provided alongside hot menu.
From Megan on reception to Keith himself the staff were all very friendly.
This was not our first visit and definitely won’t be our last

25 of us, all ages, had a wonderful evening here for dinner for a family birthday. 10 of us stayed overnight. All the staff are very helpful and attentive at every step from making enquiries to breakfast the next day! We will all go back again. Everyone was raving about the great food. I had the tomahawk steak and by lord it was unreal! We have found a hidden gem!

Sea view rooms are stunning with a glorious sunset if the cloud cover allows it. Hotel is right at the pier. The staff are absolutely superb, we left a shirt in the room and got a message to ask for our address and they would post it back to us. 100% - love them all. The young blonde haired girl (I forget her name) who was on breakfast shift 30th July needs a special mention, She was so helpful, polite and friendly - just like them all I suppose, lol

Hi We had our wedding reception there in August 2013. It was fantastic!! We had over 100 guests so we got a marquee out the front so we could have the amazing scenery as tbe backdrop to our day. We block booked the 10 rooms and bungalow out the back for our bridal party and parents. Our other guests stayed on nearby rossnowlagh and we arranged a bus to bring them back to their accommodation in the early hours once the partying was done :-). The food was outstanding and so many of our guests complimented it. Overall if you want to have a wedding with a difference book here!! We are so glad we did.
