We arrived late in the evening - hadn't booked & the staff couldn't help us enough! Recommended restaurants, charge per person - not per room (which was great for one of our solo travellers). Breakfast was LIFE CHANGING! It's walking distance to everywhere, it's comfortable & clean - loved it!

We are so thrilled when we get it right and make people's holiday a pleasant adventure, with good food, a cozy bed and great company , without breaking the bank. Thank you for your kind remarks. Maria

This was a pleasant stay, and the room was really excellent. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. The downside was that it was a hostel, and there were a couple of other groups using the kitchen when I was trying to grab a quick bite. I was told off by someone as I had accidentally used their washing up liquid -...

Worry no more! There is no downside. Even as you enjoyed your stay with us , we had already cancelled our listing with Fáilte Ireland as a Tourist Hostel and are now approved under the Welcome Standard as self-catering/guest accommodation. The upside to this is we have a brand new mini-kitchen for the convenience of guests such as yourself, who...

We visit east cork on a regular basis and this gem is in a great location. It's right in the middle of Midleton and yet on a quite backstreet so no noise. Our room was perfect we had 2 kids under 5 and it had wifi, tv & ensuite the room was spotless and the bed linen was lovely and...

Thank you. We love it when 'our' families feel safe and relaxed. Holidays can be difficult with little ones, so it's good when it comes together. Gura míle.

This place was a bargain. Great location, great breakfast, good amenities (much better than I expected from a hostel) and fantastic restaurants nearby. I will definitely be recommending it to my friends.

This place is just great. Good location in Midleton, closed to Cork and Fota. We could only stay for one night but I wish we could stayed longer. The room we got was very spacious and very clean. The beds ( one double and two singles) were so comfortable!! And the best was left for the following morning: breakfast was...

We never stated in a hostel before but I definitely would again. Warm friendly clean and a great breakfast. It was busy but not at all noisy. The owner was a bit too chatty but extremely friendly and helpful. Molly the dog is adorable too of course. We had a room with 3 sets of bunks. We would have preferred...

Thank you for your kind remarks. We hope you continue to be adventurous in your choice of accommodation. You managed to secure the very last traditional room in An Stór. Every other room had, and still has, a double bed and 'Bullfinch' now has moved on to being a 'family room' as well, as we too, move on to being...

This hostel is well located within a few steps to the town of Midleton, we got a nice room here, hostel was clean and comfortable and the woman that runs it is very friendly and welcoming, good spread for the breakfast in the morning, would definitely stay here again if I was in Midleton.

I just cant say enough about this place (as you'll see ha) During our camping trip to Cork we were unlucky to have a week of awful rain. After going to the clonakilty railway model village we were running out of time to get a place sorted to stay that night. We tried ringing many hostels without any luck. We...
