Very nice hotel, we had their best room, the Waterfront Master Suite. It was a huge suite with a big deck overlooking the harbor. Would have been lovely if the weather allowed us to enjoy the deck. Unfortunately, was cold and wet - and heat was turned off. They turn it off in summer. We were told she could put on the heat in our unit’s AC, or they could give us a portable heater, but they can’t turn on the heat without turning it on for everyone. We had her turn on the AC heat (?) but that ended up blowing cold air all night. In the morning they brought a little portable radiator, which doesn’t get very hot, is way too small for the size of the room, and keeps shutting off to avoid overheating. When we mentioned it kept shutting off, they just said, oh, sorry. Not the level of service I would expect for $500 a night. Fortunately the weather improved a bit the next day. Breakfast was good, although again service was spotty. There is a parking lot, which does get full late in the day; check-in is not til 4pm and we arrived around 3 and were able to park, but didn’t dare move the car in the evening. It’s a short, pleasant stroll into town.

Fantastic hotel! Room 119 is something else, bed very comfortable and views were just out of this world. Food was good and service in the restaurant was brilliant. We stayed here as part of our engagement celebration and it could not have gone better. Special mention to Paula and Isaac in the bar. Thanks for a lovely weekend guys! Daniel.

Our rooms had spectacular views of the harbor. Sunrise was terrific, and the reflection at dusk was magical. The rooms were beautifully appointed with ample outlets in the right locations. The room's highlight was the fantastic water pressure in the shower! I didn't want to get out. There is a small patio and lounge area on the second floor to gather with your friends and have a pint and glass of wine. This was my favorite hotel on our trip. I highly recommend it!

The hotel and surrounding property are just stunning. Set right on the water its a short stroll to the center of town. The restaurants are beautiful and I'm sure this would be a lovely place to host an event. We grabbed drinks in the bar and brought them outside to enjoy on the dock by the water. Rooms were quiet and we were able to open the windows to get a nice breeze off the water. Staff were very polite and helpful. One small suggestion for the property - we arrived early and there wasn't a secure area/process to store our luggage. Bags were left across from the check in desk behind some furniture - so I wound up carrying my heavier laptop bag around with me most of the day.

We booked a suite and wished we could have stayed longer. The room was large and sunny with fabulous views of the harbour , a big comfortable bed and a seating area with a settee and television etc.. Our spacious bathroom had a large bath and separate shower with lots of hot water. Breakfast was good and served in a first floor room with sea views . The outside bar area is a great place to sit and watch the seals in the harbour and the boats going in and out. This is our favourite place to stay in Kinsale.

We spent three days in the Tridentin Kinsale in July and it was a lovely comfortable hotel with the most friendly and accomodating staff . The Brasserie attached served good food at a reasonable price and great service. The centre of the town is a very pleasant 5 minute walk. The staff make this a 'want to stay' place and I look forward to returning.

Visited Kinsale on numerous occasions but first time at The Trident. Couldn’t fault it. Staff pleasant and helpful. We had a harbour view room which had a nice decor, was very spacious and had a wonderful view. It was also very quite and we slept well. Breakfast was excellent. Choice of continental and cooked. Quality ingredients and cooked breakfast is cooked to order. Hotel also has a lovely sitting area right next to the harbour and this is a lovely spot to have a drink when the sun is shining. Hotel has it’s own car park which can be important in Kinsale. Location is slightly more out of town than other places we have stopped before but a 10 minutes stroll will take you to the main restaurants, pubs, shops, etc. Look forward to returning.

We ordered two of the Wharf Toasted Special and while the food came very quickly, that was about as good as it got. One of the sandwiches was toasted properly (as you would expect) but the other was merely warm bread. The bread itself was very poor quality, thin, and tiny and the filling of the sandwiches was skimpy. It was served with a handful of chips, which were lovely, and a side salad, which was wilting even though it was only lunchtime. Considering the price (€8.50) and the image the hotel presents, we expected better. We have also eaten here on a number of occasions and never had any complaints. The tea was also a let down - one bag for two people, and it tasted horrible. Overall it was an extremely disappointing meal, especially given how nice it used be. Would not recommend.

The receptionist, Eleanor, went far out of her way to help us return to the Dublin airport when our trip was cut short. She found us a ride and made hotel reservations for us. Flash, our very Irish driver, said about Eleanor,"If I were 30 years younger..." She is completely professional and knows Kinsale and Ireland well.

An unexpected find! We had not booked accommodations for the night and by chance stopped and ask about availability. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and accommodating! They even offered us a complimentary upgrade to a marine view room. The rooms are very generous in size and the view is quite something to behold! Absolutely worth it! Make sure to book over a weekend as it appears that they are very busy then and may not be able to accommodate you as a walk in.
