Excellent bed and breakfast. Maeve was a very friendly and helpful host. Large room, good bathroom, very comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Near town location but quite a steep walk back for anyone less able.

We picked Blindgate primarily for its great location (a rather steep, but short and Provence-like walk to the heart of downtown Kinsale) and were very pleasantly surprised at what a very nice place Maeve operates. Everything was very clean and comfortable and there was nice art work throughout the building, including original paintings with a story behind them. Maeve provided...

Well appointed, good breakfast, and great welcome from ever present and helpful Maeve. Would have been 5 stars apart from moderate wheelchair access from large car park. Will visit again. Above Kinsale, but just 5 minutes away on foot.

Lovely guest house which is very well appointed with contemporary decor including some stunning artworks. Room was very clean with modern bathroom. Great variety of choices for breakfast including fruits, cheeses and beautifully cooked full "Irish breakfast" , all beautifully presented in an attractive setting. After battling with inefficient or nonexistent wifi it in other towns , it was a...

Gold touring customers recently stayed at Blindgate house. Part of their trip was to experiencing a mix of 5* hotels and Irish guesthouses. The main reason was to engage and chat with the guesthouse owners to discover more about Irish people than they would expect to fine in a 5* hotel. They really enjoyed the whole experience at Blindgate House...

This is a fantastic B&B located within easy walking distance to the center of Kinsale. The building itself looks very nice on the inside and out. It is very clean and seems to have been recently renovated as it all has a very "new" feel to it. Maeve, the property owner, was extremely nice and accommodating. She bent over backwards...

Maeve was a fabulous host! She always had suggestions for us. She let us know about the special weekend activities that were happening in town. The breakfast was wonderful, and the service was excellent. She was just finishing getting fiber optic installed for the wifi! The rooms were clean and spacious.

Large rooms with many amenities this beautiful property offers a quite alternative from staying in town which is a short walk away. Parking on the property. Our hostess Maeve ensured that we wanted for nothing.

My father and I stayed for 3 nights at the Blindgate House after 2 weeks road tripping around Ireland - - and we have to say that this was our favourite B&B of our trip. The B&B is very clean, modern, spacious and aesthetically tasteful. Breakfast is a treat, offering a variety of options. And the owner, Maeve, was most...
