My wife and I spent a night at Mary's house recently. She really is a wonderful hostess and made us feel genuinely welcome. Situated just a few minutes walk from the main road ensured that our stay was a peaceful one. Billy & Lynn Grierson Perthshire Scotland

We stopped at last moment at Clifden Farmhouse in May and Mary greeted us at door, showed us nice room w/3 beds and very nice bathroom and then offered us tea and cookies. She even took the time to sit with us and talk even though I know she was very busy. The beds were very comfortable, the views were...

Mary was a wonderful host, the room was beautiful. Tea and coffee when we arrived. We loved the dog, she always greeted us with a rock! Nice breakfast as well. We highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

After a day touring Inishmore, the largest of the Aran Islands, we drove through Connemara and ended up in Clifden. Clifden is a lovely little village, filled with friendly people, but it was after dark and we hadn't made plans for somewhere to stay. We had previously stayed at the Clifden Farm House and it was a nice experience, so...

If you're going to Clifden stay at Clifden farmhouse! From the moment you get out of the car you'll feel welcome, courtesy of Sheba the dog who enjoys playing fetch with rocks. The location of the b&b is perfect, it's a quick 2 minute walk to the town centre but is away from all the noise at night and it's...

We were on a trip around Ireland and had pre-booked this B&B for a Sunday night. It is in a beautiful part of Ireland, on a hill, overlooking Clifden. The bungalow is up a steep hill with plenty of parking and as soon as you arrive, Mary is the perfect hostess. She could not do more for you. The surroundings...

Mary was a wonderful hostess and made my family of 8 feel very welcomed. We stayed here for two nights and loved every minute. It is a short walk to town which is great when you have been in town listening to the music in the pubs. On our way home her dog Sheba meet us on her block with...

Very quiet and lovely farmhouse; warm welcome (family dog & host Mary's friend, who offered us a welcome drink while Mary was at mass); best shower ever (high water pressure!); nice room; clean; good price.

Mary was very friendly and helpful and her breakfast was ample and delicious. We arrivied w/o reservations but she had gone to town and left a note that rooms were available and she would be right back. The house is on the end of a dead end street, thus it is very quiet. It is a very easy walk to...

Stayed here during the Bank Holiday weekend with my girlfriend whilst on a motorcycle trip. The b&b is within easy walking distance into the town (5 minutes). The room was clean and tidy, our room had an ensuite. Shower (with shampoo and shower gel) and toilet in ensuite the hand basin was in the main room area but well placed...

“The house is on a private dead end street so there is no traffic past this house, thus it is very quiet. It is very close to Clifden, a mere 10 minute walk. Thus, you can walk to town, have a pint or two after suppah, and not have to worry about driving. Don't miss touring the nearby Sky Road; it has fantastic views.”
