In early April I came in with a group of travelers for a 1 night stay and we've found not only the hotel and the staff to be wonderful, but the level of service and the lovely chef, all was really, as the title says - above expectations! warm welcome, lovely staff, perfect location, wonderful gym and jacuzi. will come...

We have visited the Clifden Station House Hotel three times and had a wonderful family break every time. The staff are so friendly, helpful and efficient. The family rooms are large and comfortable. Every member of staff is exceptionally friendly. The manager is a wonderful lady. She treats everybody in such a friendly, warm fashion including the staff. This has...

We stayed here for the first time with our four kids aged 3-8 years, I must say it is an exceptionally family friendly hotel, we enjoyed the two night break with evening meal, the food was very good, plenty of choices of meat and fish and lovely menu for children too.. the highlight for them was breakfast, with all the...

My only negative with this trip is having to leave sooner than we would like. From the first contact of calling to book, the service has been exceptional. We stayed in the self-catering apartments for 3 nights with two small children. It is FULLY equipped with anything you may need. The starter pack provided by the hotel is brilliant. The...

Every single staff member we met at Clifden Station House was very responsive and personable. This hotel is exceptionally kid-friendly and unique, due to its location in an old train station. We spent two night here with our kids, aged 4 and 7, and wish we could have stayed longer! Great food at two on-site restaurants, and lots of fun...

Hotel and rooms are very good and staff are excellent. Restaurant food was average and not served hot. Would prefer to see a more hygienic way of wiping the breakfast tables down after each gust. Also hate the old fashioned way of leaving milk in jugs on the table. Staff at the Signal Bar provide excellent and friendly service

We have stayed here many times and it remains excellent. It's comparatively small, so there is a personal touch. The leisure centre and pool make it a good place for kids to burn off energy. Breakfast is above par, as fresh pancakes and smoked salmon are available as well as all the usual suspects. But bring back the dining room...

We had a group of 48 who stayed here in April. It was wonderful and our group really enjoyed it. The courtesy, the service and the friendliness added to the excellent food and room. We enjoyed the little extras and the "above and beyond" service from Anne Marie and James and all the staff. We hope to be back! Anne...

We had a lovely family break. You couldn't get friendlier service. From the manager to the domestic staff everyone was genuinely welcoming. The rooms are of standard quality but really the service is what stands out. The kids loved the pool and freshly made crepes in the morning. We ate in the restaurant both nights and found the food to be...

We stayed for 1 night and the food was excellent we couldn't find any fault at all. The leisure facilities were some of the best we seen so any hotel as they had pool, jacuzzi, steam rooms and sauna. The room we stayed in was very out dated as there was too much in it for the space. It was...
