Stayed here for 2 nights. This is a lovely hotel, very well maintained, very comfortable, with superb staff and great food.

After a worrying time elsewhere in SW over levels of cleanliness and social distancing the Ring of Kerry was a welcome change. All food and drink is served to the table, staff are meticulous over cleaning, but even with all the new formalities they still provide great, friendly service.

The rooms are large and comfortable - the bathroom spotless. Clean towels etc are hung in bags on the door each evening to avoid staff entering the rooms. Servicing rooms is not necessary anyway for a short stay. All the usual hotel room tat of cushions and throws has been removed.

Breakfast each day was from a set menu and cooked- variations of a traditional fry, vegetarian or porridge, as much toast or wheaten as you like and juice tea/coffee. We'd lunch and dinner there too and enjoyed it very much. The chowder is delicious! Leaving this morning and seeing it was a hot day the person on reception handed me some water for the trip. Totally unnecessary but very kind! I'd definitely stay here again.

While staying in mannix point campsite for the weekend a group of 11 went to the hotel for a celebratory meal. We hadn't booked in but we're accommodated without a problem. We had a beautiful meal (highly recommend the rib of beef) which was very well priced and drinks served by the most friendly efficient staff who couldn't do enough for us.

We were exiled to a part of the restaurant which was closed off and isolated from the main area. We were waiting an epic amount of time for the food to arrive once ordered. A beef burger, and chicken burger arrived, and it only got worse from there. The beef burger was entirely raw, as if the mince came straight from the packet and avoided the fryer. The chicken burger smelled as if the chicken was under the weather before arriving to the kitchen for preparation. To give some slight credit, the onion rings were tolerable. As we tried to work our way through the meal, not once did a server ask how everything was. As we left our table, disgusted, a server eventually arrived to ask how we were getting on but left quickly before any opportunity was afforded to us to voice our concerns. As we arrived at the bar counter to pay, three staff members looked at us waiting before eventually allowing us to pay. We were very disappointed with this hotel and would not advise it to anyone looking to actually enjoy a meal out.

All staff I dealt with were great, friendly and obliging. I had dinner and breakfast during my stay and I must say it was top class and good value. The hotel is situated a short walk from the centre of the town and my room had wonderful views of the mountains overlooking the town. Will definitely stay here again when I’m back in Cahersiveen

I just stayed one night as I had business in the area.I usually stay in Killarney and commute but I am so happy I booked local.I did not know what to expect for the rate which also included breakfast!

I met Brian one of the Family who run this hotel during my check in and later on serving dinner in the Bar.My room was quiet and clean and the shower in the bathroom was excellent.

I was impressed with the meal in the Bar and the service and also Breakfast the following morning had a variety of options, I will book in again next time I am back in the area.

We ate here twice in the week we were in Cahirciveen. Fine size portions. Food was great on both occasions. I tried the salmon (big portion and lovely and fresh). I had the chicken curry (creamy, delicious, naan and poppadom were so good! Nothing out of a packet here! ☺️)
Children's menu was the standard fare (chips, goujons etc.) and this suited us. They were v flexible if we had wanted other dishes on the menu for our kids.
Place is spotless. The staff were friendly and super efficient. Everyone was wearing a faceshield or mask. Hand sanitiser to beat the band.
I would definitely recommend it.

A great spot to catch lunch whilst touring Ireland’s famous ring of Kerry. You can eat I. The bar or the large, sunny restaurant. The food is great with lots of vegetarian options. Try the seafood chowder or fish and chips. Great desserts too. Service is very fast so you can zip in, eat and get back touring

Hotel was lovely very comfortable and clean, the staff were really helpful and very friendly. The food was amazing, dinner and breakfast, it was the nicest I’ve eaten in a hotel in a while. It’s about 10 mins walk into the town but all foot paths so it’s grand. Fine big car park so no problem there and the parking is free.

The food at the hotel is so good ! A fine portion of vegetables too. We ate both of our days there . Leonard Stevie and all the staff are so good cannot do enough to help . Breakfast again very good . During this pandemic they made us feel so relaxed . Thank you all. Very central for visiting Skelligs Valentia Island too .
