Went with family for late lunch on a Friday. They have the BBQ going all day on Fridays. Great views. Wonderful chargrilled fish with beautiful sauces. Large bowls of roasted veg for the table. Nice wine. 2 got a shared 1/2 lobster and huge steak- done exactly as they asked for it. Very friendly serving staff and a lovely atmosphere. Got the balance right with face shields, cleaning, hand sanitizer- felt very safe and in good hands. A really special family outing. Highly recommended.

We are just home from a week stay in Berehaven Lodge. We were in Lodge 4, which was spotless and had everything required for a self catering holiday, Wi-fi was very fast and we ate our meals out on the patio to appreciate the beautiful views. The kids loved looking for crab on the little beach each evening.

Natalie and Norah were both lovely and went out of their way to accommodate our time of arrival, the breakfast items were a lovely touch after a long travel. I would definitely stay again.

We booked this back in February 2020 and had to postpone due to Covid 19 county restrictions. We were able to rebook for this September 2021 and Berehaven Lodge were very helpful and accommodating with our arrangements, we had originally asked for the possibility of a water front cottage and this was provided for us as well, we stayed in lodge no 4.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it, hopefully we may return in the future. The cottage was fully furnished to a high standard with all mod cons with everything you would need for a self catering break away, spacious cosy and absolutely spotless. The site is quiet and very well maintained with fabulous views of Bere Island across from the cottages. An ideal base to explore west Cork and around the Atlantic way.

These are super 3 bed lodges with everything you could need. We have stayed in similar lodges around the country and these are definitely the best equipped. They are in a lovely quiet area with super views of the bay. They were immaculately clean on arrival and a wonderful starter pack of tea, coffee, milk, bread and all the necessary for a good fry, was just icing on the cake. There was a spa bath in the main bathroom which was heaven after a days wanderings and walk about. Due to covid restrictions we didnt get to meet the girls, but having dealt with them for our booking, I felt sure if we had needed them they would have been there for us! Thanks so much Natalie and Norah, we had a wonderful stay and looking forward to coming back.

Just back from my stay in Berehaven lodge. Love the layout of the bungalows, the peace and the lovely location.
However our house could have done with a facelift in terms of refresh the paint and the showers upstairs were a bit rusty .
Staff were lovely and helpful but the restaurant served the worst food we had ever eaten , having arrived hungry and tired after a long drive. The fish and chips was awful and my “chicken tagliatelle” was inedible , tasteless rubber ….
Just awful . Cdnt fault the lovely waiter Eoin who was a peach but very much resented paying for the awful food.
Overall enjoyed the experience , its a lovely spot .

Enjoyed ,accommodation was excellent but unfortunately the restaurant was closed 🥲 You had to travel 6km into Castletownbere to find a restaurant open which was difficult to find after 5pm. On Sunday we couldn’t get into the only restaurant open. Loved Murphy’s restaurant ❤️ Found the lady in Breens lobster restaurant very rode 🥲 Would highly recommend the Ivory bar fabulous friendly staff ❤️

Since Covid hit, we’ve been fairly anxious going into places like many. The lodge have gotten it nailed down - everyone laid out well and with allocated times. We both had the mussels to start (some of the best, creamiest, freshest I’ve ever had) and I had the mushroom risotto while she had a beautiful piece of fresh hake. Side portion of double fried potatoes was whopper. Portion sizes were perfect and not too big.

We had Rachel serving us and while she had only just started there - she could not have been more professional and helpful. A wonderful meal experience.

Afterwards, we took a walk down to the pier beside the restaurant on the lodge grounds.

Nice location but few problems incountered, why did we have to pay €50 for the dog which wasn't mentioned anywhere?? The manager kept asking for this €50 everytime I bumped into her, first for dog friendly pod, then for special cleaning was excuse!!! Thi k it was straight into her pocket to be honest as the lovely cleaning lady threw all the bed linen into the back of her car and I yo the industrial washing machines on site along with everyone else's!! All the bbq were falling apart and could not be used properly, had to put a slate under ours to stop the charcoal from falling out,
Very much doubt I'd be back and I won't be recommending it to anyone I know either, shame really

We are just back from a 5 night stay in one of the waterfront lodges. Firstly, Sheila was fantastic to deal with - really helpful, professional and amazing communication from her. The lodge was fabulous- very homely and peaceful. We also rented a hot tub from Beara Hot Tubs who coordinated everything with Sheila. This was really worth doing and loved it. The food in the onsite restaurant is really good, we ate there 3 nights and each time the quality of the food and service was great. We loved our stay. Thank you to Sheila and the team for such a wonderful break

Myself and my family have just returned from a weeks stay at Berehaven Lodge one word amazing! The lodges are spotless and modern and so much to see and do within a short distance. We had two lodges beside each other as we were a large family with kids and a dog this was the perfect holiday home for us. Can’t wait to visit again in the future.

Hi SoloGKiwi Our Lodges are all Non-Smoking - but smoking is allowed outside. We have a very good Taxi company - Beara Cabs - and their numbers are available in the information pack in the accommodation Lodge. We don't rent out bikes, but if you make contact with bikenbeara (I am unable to send you the link here - its an Irish ie one) - they will look after you - they rented the bikes and delivered them to Berehaven Lodge for the customer and picked them up - the last few years. Any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact me again. Warm regards Mary Berehaven Lodge
