I'm a repeat visitor to Cobh and the Commodore Hotel is the only place to stay to encompass the history of this maritime town. Reviews criticising the hotel as being old and not worth the money leave me lost for words. The hotel is old and advertised as a Georgian building steeped with maritime history. Offering fantastic deals for 2/3...

This hotel may have been grand in it's day but is not worth the price. The rooms are outdated and dirty with dust and cobwebs collecting in the radiators. The shower was a trickle of lukewarm water and the TV was a 13" tube from what seemed like 1982. The only thing this hotel has going for it is the...

Stayed here for 2 nights 29/30th March. The hotel is old but this just adds to the charm and character of the area. It was spotlessly clean and this is what matters most to me. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The food was fantastic. We were a group of 12 and everyone enjoyed the break. Only one negative...

This hotel is very old, and not up dated at all, I asked when I booked for a big bed and we got a small one. Damp on walls with wall paper lifting, no kettle in room, which is basic thing to have . Small old type tv which kept losing signal every few minute. The breakfast wasn't nice, very...

Hi Patrick, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that the hotel did not suit you requirements. I agree that the hotel is not modern however I do believe that we offer value for money. We are in the process of redecoration at present and this will address the issues with wall paper and the t.v. in the room...

Myself and my husband stayed here for one night on a trip around Cork. The location is perfect and the view from the hotel is really nice. We availed of the free parking which was great. From check in to check out, all of the staff were absolutely lovely. The hotel and rooms are "old worldly" but I hate that...

Dear reviewer, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are an "old worldly" hotel. The hotel was actually the first purpose built hotel in the country. We are currently going through a process of redecoration but we aim to continue to deliver that old world charm that is hard to find these days. Thank you for...

I tried to walk from Club C, the nightclub attached to and owned by the Commodore Hotel with a drink I had purchased, to the Commodore Hotel, but the bouncer refused to let me do so. When I tried to run out with, the bouncer tackled me, grabbed me around the shoulders and pulled me inside and took my drink....

Room 234 with sea view. Very dated, in need of modernisation and looks dirty. Dark coloured room so felt small even having two big windows. The bed sloped due to the uneven floor so had to sleep the wrong way round. The bathroom was dirty and the shower head rusty, which fell off if you moved it. There's a small...

We had a very pleasant couple of days in Cobh, staying in this landmark waterfront hotel. We were very happy with the hotel and its facilities, including a space in their relatively small car park. The room was spacious, and quiet except for a little bit of noise from a weekend late night event in the hotel. But it didn't...

We were staying in Cork for a few days over midterm and decided to check Cobh out on one of the evenings. To be honest its a quaint town but a little tired. We were looking for a bit to eat and never saw so many Chinese restaurants in one area. We were heading to the car when the Commodore...
