Myself and my family stayed here in July 2015. During the night I began to her the sound of a child/toddler crying in the room next to us and the more I focused on the crying, the louder it got until it reached a point where my ears began to ring violently and I started to feel dizzy. The crying...

We managed to get a room by chance. Ours overlooked the bay, so it was rather pricey. The room had a double bed & two singles, but there was still plenty of space. It was a bit shabby & the tv reception was abysmal!

The Commodore Hotel is an impressive building right on the edge of the water, so frontal views are good but you pay extra for these. We had room 356 the floor of which was very uneven and felt like being on board ship. Staff very helpful and food reasonable. Coming from Galway on shortest route by Sat Nav, be prepared...

We had various mixups in the restaurant and we didn't end up getting what we ordered. There appears to be zero communication between the staff and the kitchen... That said, our server Danielle did her very best given everything else. There are so many negative reviews here, management should wake up.

Dear reviewer, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. From our follow-up we have identified what occurred on the day. I am confident that there was the required level of communication between the waiting staff and the chef. On the day you had requested that your soup be vegetarian. Danielle confirmed that the soup of the day...

My family and I had a meal at the Commodore hotel during our three week visit to Cobh. We picked a great night. In the back of the hotel there was a gathering of ex Sea-men as I was told, who were having an annual gathering. They were singing many songs that a navy/seaman might have sung when out at...

Cobh is a charming town. Precariously perched on heights overlooking the large and busy harbour, the locals are charming and place is seeped in history. You can easily take the scenic drive through Passage West, or just fall out of the Train, arriving close to the Town Centre, and The Commodore Hotel. We were down on a 24 hour pass,...

We went to the Commodore for an evening meal. The waitress initially told us that they were very busy and there could be a half hour wait on food. We waited… and waited, with three hungry children. An hour passed! When the food arrived, it was inedible. Most of the chips were green tinged and had to be sent back....

Went to the commodore today for a bit of lunch. Safe to say I won't be back... Got the order wrong. Sandwhich wasn't toasted. Ham was full of fat. One part of the sandwhich had no ham in it. Prices are ridiculous. My daughter got jelly and ice cream for dessert it was if the jelly was there for a...

Went here for lunch last Sunday. Sat down and somebody brought over menus straight away.. and that's the only positive I have from this experience! There was at one stage 7 staff just standing around the bar area which was right behind our table.. they were discussing their social lives, going to be sent home early from work because how...

This hotel is directly on the harbor of Cobh and consequently has a wonderful view. We only stayed there one night, as they were completely booked for the other days we planned to be in Cobh. Rooms were clean but quite small. The hotel itself is from the 19th c. and has a very interesting collection of vintage photographs hanging...
