Enjoy your stay in Baltimore!
The townhouse is still my favorite place to stay in Baltimore. Close to the harbor and the Casey’s Hotel, quiet neighborhood, clean and a spacious room. See as well my review from April 2016. We’ll come back.
We stayed in Dezember 2016 in the Townhouse in Baltimore. Great service, very friendly stuff. The apartment was very clean and quiet. Baltimore is a nice small town with good restaurants and pubs, and a great view over the ocean.
An unusual arrangement whereby the accommodation is located some distance from the hotel proper. Arriving early after a long road trip we were in need of breakfast so proceeded to the hotel 'Caseys of Baltimore' located just off the main road on the approach to the town. This is also where you have to check in. After breakfast, we were allowed an early check-in and were then escorted to the Townhouse by Michael who gave us a quick familiarisation tour of the premises. Larger than a typical hotel room, the accommodation comprised a bedroom, bathroom and a small sitting room equipped with a refrigerator and tea/coffee making facilities. The furniture wasn't particularly comfortable but we weren't planning on sitting around. Breakfast and any other meals required are provided in the main hotel although fresh hot scones are delivered to the rooms each morning. After a day at sea whale watching we repaired to the hotel for dinner. Fresh battered fish was accompanied by chips which were a mixture of overcooked and undercooked. Why can few hotels manage to get this simple dish right? My wife opted for the Tempura Prawns, not cheap at €28 but no complaints about the quality. Finally, back to the Townhouse for much needed rest. The location is quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed one of the most restful nights we have experienced in hotel accommodation for a long time. Our judging criteria is always simply "would we stay there again"? and the answer was a resounding "yes".…
The Townhouse is located in about 3 minutes to the Harbour of Baltimore, 5 minutes to the connected hotel Casey's. The room or better apartment 36 was spacious, very clean and had all you need for a nice stay. The delivered continental breakfast I can only assume according to the lovely smell of the bags on the other doors, we preferred the breakfast in the Casey's. The complete staff is extremely helpful and gives you the feeling of being the only guest they have to take care about. Problems with Internet and water have been solved in minutes. Breakfast in the hotel is perfect! Whether you take the full Irish or eggs with mackerel or kipper - all is fresh and tasty, the service is more than attentive. When we come back to Baltimore we will for sure stay again in this B&B
This is a house with rooms that has no staffing. You have to drive to "Casey's" up the road for staff, checkin, checkout, and breakfast. Rooms have views at Casey's but not at the Baltimore Townhouses. On the plus side, it was very quiet as it is in a residential area, and the doors and rooms seem relatively sound proof compared to most B+B's. I thought 100 euros was a bit steep for such a set up compared to other Irish B+B's. The breakfast was excellent though. Fresh baking and freshly squeezed orange juice were both very tasty. Note that Baltimore village really doesn't have any points of interest, nor is there a selection of restaurants. My advice is to not stay in the town of Baltimore unless you have to.
