From the moment we arrived at Cornelia’s B&B, Rock Hill House, we were warmly welcomed, setting the tone for our stay. Cornelia greeted us with an Aperol Spritz, making us feel instantly at home. Her stunning property offers a complete experience with breathtaking views, exquisite comfort, and a personal touch. Designed and built by Cornelia with great care, the B&B is perched on an elevated site with spectacular views over Schull harbour, Long Island, and the distant Fastnet Rock. Our spacious suite featured an en-suite and a private conservatory with uninterrupted landscape views. Cornelia’s breakfasts are legendary. We enjoyed a full Irish breakfast with local products, including locally made sausages, two types of bacon, tomatoes, eggs, mushrooms, fresh fruit, and Cornelia’s six homemade preserves. The whiskey marmalade and fresh pastries were delightful. Cornelia is incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable about the area, enhancing our stay with her advice. The beautiful landscaped gardens provide a peaceful retreat, and the comfortable lounge seats on the patio offer a perfect spot to relax and take in the scenery. Rock Hill House, just outside the village, feels like a serene escape. The comfortable, individually decorated rooms reflect Cornelia’s personality and attention to detail. Thoughtful touches, including a basket of bathroom essentials, a flashlight, and umbrellas, ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Myself and my partner were lucky enough to spend an amazing 2 nights with the amazing Cornelia in her stunning home. The property itself is beautiful but the grounds and scenery are even more breath taking. The views of horse island, long island and Baltimore were such a treat to wake up to and the stary nights were magical to fall asleep to. Even though we booked this place originally as a b&b for our trip down west, central to other destinations like Ballydehob for Chestnut and Barleycove for the beach and threecastle head... I can honestly say our time in Rockhill house was the highlight of our trip. We received a warm welcome from Cornelia straightaway that was present throughout our stay. The facilities were everything and more ...the breakfast was one of the tastiest I have had and even to this day I attempt to replicate it ... who knew dill was so good in frittatas? Cornelia :) Thank you for your kindness and welcoming us in, we cannot wait to return

We stayed here for two nights on out tour of Southern Ireland. We were greeted by a very welcoming host, Cornelia. The room we had was front facing so we had an exceptional view of the bay and islands... Which was amazing. Breakfast was delicious and many options were available.. The only thing we didn't,t particularly like was the fact all guests had to sit together ...although on both mornings we did meet some lovely couples... Personally we would have preferred our own table so we could chat either to others or ourselves.... It felt awkward initially and some couples were not as chatty as others. Although our room was neat and tidy it was very dated ... The bathroom was actually very very grubby and a lot dust, fluff and hair on the floor and under the basket under the sink.... This was really disappointing and really not pleasant. Also we would have really liked either coffer/tea making items in the room or alternatively offered the kitchen facililities when we arrived back after a long day.... But although we were greeted warmly on return a welcome hot drink was neve offered. When i asked about making a morning coffee on waking up... I was not invited to come and help myself ( although Cornelia was around in the mornings to make one) As we left I noted that the house was a lot bigger than we had thought and it seems that the host has separate living quarters ... We wondered then if the open plan lovely area where we had breakfast was actually available to guests.... We were not advised of this so never felt able to come out of the room to use it as we assumed it was cornelian own space.... Somewhere other than the small bedroom would be nice to hang out in. Overall it was a great stay but the bathroom we had definitely needs a very good deep clean and the rooms updating.

I do not normally write reviews of any where I stay but our experience of Rock Hill House was so utterly fabulous that I feel I must share it. We were fortunate to have good weather on our visit and to say that the views from the house were stunning is no exaggeration. But the warm welcome from Cordelia, with an immediate offer of coffee and cakes and to sit in the superb garden and admire the scenery made you feel instantly at home. The standard of comfort in the house and the many artefacts drawings and paintings collected during Cornelia's travels revealed the effort she has made to make Rock Hill House a complete success. The breakfast has been mentioned by other reviewers and none of them exaggerate. Merely to point out that (I think it was about six) different types of homemade preserves were offered and the delicious food make this one of the best guest houses I have ever stayed in (we felt more like friends calling than guests!).

First, it is not hard to find. It stands on a hill with such an amazing view that makes your jaw drop. There's serenity and peace. It has enough parking space in case you arrive by car. The room was spacious, very interestingly furnished with lots of photos of the owner who travelled a lot. Bathroom has everything that should be there and even more. So, if you forget anything to bring with you, no worries, it's fully equipped with shower gels, shampoo, toothpaste, etc. Bed is comfortable and big, and after a day out in the breathtaking nature, you'll sleep like a god. The room has its own terrace where you can sit and enjoy fresh air. What I found amusing is that there's a "survival kit" consisting of an umbrella (in case it rains :)) and a hand battery to give you light when returning from a pub late at night. Schull is not really packed with pubs but there are some very nice and cosy ones, serving very good beer. And food if you arrive on time. Last, but not least are delicious breakfasts. Oh, my, that's really spoiling. Fresh fruit, yoghurt, warm dishes like pancakes, omelettes and eggs. Everyday you choose the dish for the next morning and WHEN do you want to have breakfast. Cornelia is the perfect host! She'll make you feel at home at her place. We really had a very special time staying there. We'll definitely come back again! Thank you, Cornelia for everything (and especially for acquainting us to Delwyn :))

We stayed at in Schull for a friend's wedding. Everyone booked all over town and we were lucky enough to stay with Cornelia at the Rock Hill House. It has amazing views and it is so quiet out. The house is beautiful and Cornelia is so accommodating. At night we were able to see the Milky Way with our bare eyes. Schull is a beautiful place and I am glad we were able to experience it while staying at the Rock Hill House. It is a little further away from town, but the walk felt so quick. Even two girls walking alone in the middle of the night was safe. The room was clean and quiet. We couldn't even tell there were other visitors while we were there. The bed was good and breakfast was great. We had the omelette, full Irish breakfast and the eggs Benedict. Breakfast was delicious and we would definitely stay again if we come back to Schull.

We stayed here as a base to explore the surrounding area, we were expecting a simple B&B but were completely underestimating how good Rock Hill House is, and how welcoming Cornelia, the host, was. The breakfasts are something that wouldn't be out of place in a top restaurant, the service is excellent. The location is amazing, really lovely views and beautiful landscape. Schull it's self is quaint and very welcoming and you are a stones throw away from Mizen Head, the gorgeous Barleycove Bay beach and amazing walks in the hills. We will definitely be back, and will most certainly be looking to stay with Cornelia at Rock Hill House :)

We stayed in this boutique B&B for 1 night and my only regret was that we had to leave. Cornelia the owner is an incredible host. She could not have been more welcoming. The house is beautiful and the views from the garden are stunning. Breakfast was delicious with so much choice. We will definitely be back. I can't wait already!!!

Me and my husband took our 10th anniversary wedding trip to Ireland. We have had the luck to find this spectacular B&B in beautiful village on south of Ireland - Schull. From the big sized clean and well decorated rooms, own bathrooms to the amazing service (delicious breakfast, providing candlelit dinner with Atlantic ocean and lighthouse view...), Rockhill house is one of the best B&B's we've stayed at. Also thanks to Cornelia's amazing personality it will be forever one of the most unforgettable vacations, we have had. We couldn't make better choice!

In a word - everything!! The host, room, breakfast, view - all were amazing! Cornelia was the perfect host. She was very friendly and accommodating, as well as cooking a great full Irish breakfast. The room had everything one could need. And the view...I just couldn't stop looking out the windows at that jaw-dropping view!
