We stayed in the 3 bedroom cottage. It was spacious, each bedroom had an ensuite. Very clean. Greeted on arrival by the resident dogs Jojo and Tiny who we loved! Ann was a great hostess and a very good cook. Cartron House is off the beaten track so days out would be best planned. Would visit again and recommend to... More

We stayed here with my family - three late teens - and our dog too! Cannot recommend this highly enough - as per previous reviews, plenty of space both in and outdoors. Breakfast is fantastic and sets you up for activities throughout the day: lots to do nearby, we went go karting and horse riding, archery and shooting with my... More

My sisters and I stayed in Cartron House early May for a Wedding in Loughrea. We were made to feel very welcome. Comfortable beds and great breakfast. Lovely setting. We were unable to get a taxi to Loughrea on our last morning but Anne's husband very generously gave us a lift as we had left our car at Wedding venue...great service.... More

This is a lovely house, set in delightful grounds with elegant outside spaces and its own private country walk. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, the rooms comfortable, and the breakfasts to die for! If you're looking for peace and tranquillity, Cartron House is the perfect base. This is my second visit and the place just gets better.

We travelled with our adult son and his girlfriend and required two double rooms. Anne gave us what amounted to our own cottage consisting of kitchenette, living room and two double rooms with ensuites for €70 per couple (€35 per person) for the nights accommodation and the full Irish breakfast, which was excellent. We got there late and didn't feel... More

Stayed here for 4 nights, in the Cartron lodge. Lovely location in the country. Wake to animals in the paddocks , the sounds of farm life. The Lodge is large, well furnished, sunny conservatory . we were able to catch up on laundry, with a well equipped laundry room and kitchen, it was great to have the space to look... More

Cartron House is amazing. The grounds are amazing. Plus Ann is amazing! She is the best cook. I stayed in and dined at her table one night, and it was a wise decision. The next night I went out, and afterwards I wish I would have stayed in again! Ann went above and beyond to make me feel at home,... More
