If having a television is important for evening enterainment this location might not meet your needs. They only get the news channel if the TV worked. If Wifi is...

The currane lodge sits next to a pristine lake in the center of which is an island where you can just make out the ruins of a monastery. The owners are warm and welcoming and more than happy to help book a tour or find a nice walk. The currane lodge was a glimpse into a quiet life in the...

This is not a negative review. I want to be very clear about that. I'm only writing this to re-set expectations for another traveller like me searching through the feedback before booking. I thought this was a fine stay, but it wasn't amazing. Why does that matter? Because I had read so many overly glowing reviews of Currane Lodge that...

This was our first trip to Ireland. In our B&B Ireland reservation, I mentioned we were celebrating my husband’s birthday. Our first stop was Currane Lodge. Owner Ann McCarthy greeted us like family with hot tea and fresh baked scones. We enjoyed them in her warm and welcoming dining area overlooking the beautiful view of Loch Curran. That evening, she...

This place is great, the atmosphere is peaceful and calm. Mrs. Ann greeted us like an aunt with her nephews, warm and gracious hospitality. The owner was very kind to call a restaurant for our dinner and also gave us a lot of other useful information for our trip. The breakfast was simply spectacular, Mrs. Ann cooked for us a...

The service and atmosphere at this bed and breakfast was fantastic, and I enjoyed it more than any other place I stayed in Ireland. The owner Anne was very friendly and attentive, and her three sons were very enjoyable young lads. The dinner and breakfast was great, and I'm very glad I visited Waterville because of our stay here. Thanks!

Ann was a wonderful hostess! My friend and I stayed overnight. We arrived in a torrential downpour, and Ann greeted us with hot tea and a roaring peat fire. We opted for the 25 euro dinner option, and we are so glad we did. Ann is a great cook, and our dinner was fresh and filling. In the morning, we...

Despite the worst storm in recorded history.....and in living memory, Ann and her lovely family made us welcome. Even with the adverse conditions of no electricity and chilly temps, Ann met us with a roaring peat fire, hot tea and homemade scones. They are in a beautiful area and have a great home with wonderful views. We are planning on...
