The Glen Gat is a fantastic B&B which offers excellent breakfast and a very friendly hospitality. Set right near to pubs with the centre a little further away but not a great walk. The commute on the airbus from the airport is cheap too.

I stayed here for one night and was made very welcome. The room was perfect, Breakfast was delicious and the location was perfect. I would have no difficulty recommending this guest house to any traveller needing accommodation in Dundalk or North Louth.

I stayed in this B&B about 8 days... Absolutely nothing to complain about...clean rooms, the personal very kindly and a very good breakfast!!! Good wi-fi signal in the room, nice view from the windows!!! Comparing this one with all the others B&B's where I stayed(Italy,France and Ireland) I definitely like this one more!!!

When we arrived they had a mix up with the bookings so some of our relations had to go else where. When we walked into our room there was a revolting smell that was coming from the toilet and when we went in there was pubic hairs on the floor. The breakfast was quite nice though and it was homely,...

Would not recommend it. The owner at checkin was not polite. She gave us the key and immediately disappeared. The room was very small, as well as the bed, and not clean. We noticed that the dust was few centimeters high on top of TV and dresser. The carpet had a lot of stains and looked like it was not...

I had a business trip to Dundalk and my contacts suggested the GlenGat. This is clearly the culmination of the owner's vision, where two red brick Victorian houses have been knocked into one and extended. It is very much "Olde Worlde" with wonderful period furniture, ornaments, mirrors and paintings around the house. I loved this aspect. The service is good...

This is a reasonably priced B&B, good facilities, right on the edge of town (2-mins walk to centre). Check-in was efficient and friendly, helpful in finding local places of interest, restaurants etc. Reasonably sized room, basic bed (not queen size, only double), but comfortable. Parking on street out front was available and is free after 5 or 6 pm (need...

Good location on a busy corner but the noise abates for bed time. Good size room comfortable bed but walls are too thin I could heard the person in the next room snoring. It is an old building so should take take this into account. Lovely sitting areas, and breakfast was good. Plenty of choice.

We stayed for 4 nights and had a lovely time! We had a nice room and the atmosphere was outstanding! There were books to read, a kitchen to use and an outside area to relax in! Very accommodating and Tim suggestions on where to eat and have entertainment never failed and were well within walking distance. Location was very Central...

The property is in a very convenient location to the Dundalk City Center, yet the city noise is not a factor. Tim and his daughters are always available and ready to help with any detail. The accommodations are very comfortable and the décor is full of period antiques. The eclectic mood that is set by the decorated public spaces is...
