We liked this place. Rates are very affordable. We also loved the retro vibe. Get a photo of the sign on their front lawn at night time. :) Room was very clean and spacious. We had a fridge, a microwave and a coffee maker. Very close to local attractions. Nothing fancy, but if you are okay with that, this is a perfectly fine place to stay.

Hi, I am writing this review on behalf of my parents who stayed at this Motel the week of Aug. 7th, 2011. They had car trouble and had their car towed to a local garage. My parents are disabled and were all alone and needed a kind shoulder to rely on and the owners and staff at the Motel Leo were very kind to them. I want to thank them for caring for two very vulnerable people while they waited for their car. The staff took great care of them for us until my sister was able to fly down and drive them home. I feel this review focuses on the generous quality of people that are still out there and who my parents were lucky to have found and this would most certainly reflect on thew quality of their Motel. Thank You Motel Leo!!!
Also, our heart felt thanks goes out to the G.L. Lube garage in town as well. Mr. Gaeton Laforest was truly the best, he went out of his way to help my parents with their car troubles, he was very patient with some very impatient people and had my parents fixed up in no time. Thank You Gaeton!!!!!

This was a nice hotel just off the Trans Canada. We arrived and were checked into the room quickly. Our first floor room was very clean but dated. The beds were comfortable. This hotel was perfect for our needs. We had lots of space for parking. There was no pool. The continental breakfast was more than adequate. The staff was friendly and helpful. The motel is only 5 minutes from scenic Grand Fall.

I'll give 1 star for cleanliness. They lost any other possible kudos to a very poor bed mattress, so a terrible sleep, threadbare sheets and blanket, ran out of hot water, ancient A/C couldn't cool the room, wifi not strong enough to connect and no internet. I felt the damage deposit of $150 was excessive but no issues getting it refunded at checkout. They did their best I guess with cold breakfast, but no cream for coffee was the final straw. Never again.

Highly do not recommend staying here the floors were dirty, there was sticky stuff and a dried up gummy candy on the floor, the bed sheets were yellow and had brown stains, the room stunk like a sewer. There was not even a TV Remote. I asked for the TV remote and the staff said they would be all back and they never came back, you have yo turn the TV on behind it and there is no volume buttons either. The toilet seat had pee on it and the shower was filthy, the nobs on the shower to turn water on and off had brown slimey and sticky scunge on it. They tried to increase my price from $140 CAD to $210 CAD. This motel was so disgusting. The air conditioner had dust and bugs fly out of it when i finally figured out on how to turn it on. The beds felt like asphalt. I had to wear shoes to bed because the floor was NOT CLEANED. There was toilet paper and dirt under the bed. The chair leg was broken and I fell off of it since the chair fell out from under me. The staff was by far rude and did not care. Overpriced motel. This was the worst motel Ive ever stayed at.

Booked hotel at midnight through Expedia. Showed up one hour later at 1am and hotel had a sign on door saying it closed at 11:30pm. So was stranded in the car with a new born and 5 year old. All other hotels & motels in area where completely booked and we had no way of contacting anyone to give us the keys to our room. Unacceptable that they let us book a room and had no one there to attend to us. Horrible customer service!

We have been going to Motel Leo for over 10 years, it was always an old school motel. Basically you got what you paid for, no frills but clean and quiet.
It's still inexpensive but there seems to be lower standards as far as everything else.
There was a coffee maker but no mugs, the shower curtain was terribly stained from hard water and really needed to be replaced. No Kleenex just an empty container, no extra blanket and the door sure could use a bit of paint.
I do have to say that the beds, which I believe are new, were very comfortable and it was quiet ( except for the dented fridge, which we unplugged ) so for arriving after 11 pm and leaving by 6:30 that was important.
I would suggest fixing one room and at a time and then reopen slowly.

Where do I start... the room dusty , light in bathroom burnt, no blankets, only a sheet and a bed cover, and when I asked, he said no blankets, and brought me another bed cover and said to put the heat up if I was cold.
Air conditioners sounds like a propeller. TV had no sound, and there was no pillow cases, only pillow covers with a zipper. And the worst is the most hard and uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. Let’s just say, not coming back here.

Worst hotel. Missing fan blades on the ceiling fan, bed taped together, broken bed, loud AC, you might get a breakfast if you're lucky they say there is a breakfast but they don't do it every day. Hotel staff don't care. I complained to hotels.com they called the hotel and the hotel said all the issues were fixed which is a big lie. The owners aren't even in the country. I don't recommend this place stay away

They should tear this down and offer rough camping which would be an improvement. Musty smelling room, no breakfast, no restaurant, no ice!. Lost my reservation. Noisy and dirty. Complete confusion at the front desk . That is when he wasn’t speaking his brother(?) in their native tongue. Just bad. Need I say more?
