We wanted to give our family a special treat and contacted Rathmullan simply because we had heard about it. The helpfulness on the phone when we first contacted them to explain what we wanted and eventually making the booking was encouraging. The reality was even better. Our two sons and their families were in the so called "garret" rooms which...

Dear David, How lovely it is to read such a positive review especially one which singles out our hard working staff for special mention. Our location here by the shores of the Swilly gives us a fantastic starting point but we really see our staff as being our best asset. With the hotel being family run, we understand the effort...

This is a lovely place to visit and if you do not know it already, it is on on a fantastic beach with lovely gardens! You can go for a good long walk on the beach and you will need to - to work off the food which is fantastic. Breakfast is very tasty and plentiful. Great attention to detail...

Many thanks for taking the time to write your thoughts on your stay with us. It sounds like you left well fed which is always great to hear. The good weather always helps but even when it rains our guests have a good excuse to sit by the fire all day and not feel guilty! We hope to see you...

The common areas are older but comfortable and inviting - for drinks, relaxing and chatting with other guests. Our room was lovely and very comfortable. The grounds make for leisurely walks and views of islands. The food for dinner and breakfast was excellent and the staff were efficient and friendly.

Have been many times for coffee and the like but had never eaten in the restaurant as it never seemed very vegetarian friendly however we celebrated a birthday here and both the food and atmosphere were excellent. Staff were friendly yet professional. Cannot fault it. Looking forward to my next meal here.

Revisited after 30 years. Still the perfect place to enjoy the full range of Donegal's flexible weather. Relaxing ambiance is excellent for families, the pool was ideal when rain kept kids off the beach. The Tap (former Dungeon) bar offers delicious pizzas and a wide range of local brews. The main bar upstairs offers a broad range of specialist spirits....

As a very happy guest at this hotel on three previous occasions, I had high hopes that as a wedding venue for my son and wife, it would come up to the mark as before. It in fact surpassed all my expectations and I can safely say that our friends and family had the best weekend party imaginable! The staff...

We stayed for 2 nights during our drive along with Wild Atlantic Way. The location is superb... a quiet property just up from a secluded beach. We had a lovely big room with a balcony overlooking a beautiful garden. Lovely common rooms with cozy fireplaces, perfect for a glass of wine and a book or a chat. Excellent selection of...

Stayed here for one night during our 2 week trip to Ireland. Rathmullan House is very historic and beautiful. Rooms were very clean, the gardens are pretty, and having an indoor pool was an extra bonus, espicially if you are traveling with kids. We ate at the hotel's restaurant which was very good. Overall this is a nice place, but...
