5 minutes walk from the center of Oranmore, out of the season, very quiet and traditional B&B. The rooms are not fancy, but offer what one needs; clean linen and a warm shower. The host was very nice and he made me a great traditional breakfast in the morning.

Shanlin House is a lovely place to stay in and the hosts are very welcoming. We spent a week there and were very comfortable. The breakfast was good and the rooms were very clean . The shower was a bit too small however we had all the necessities we needed. The towels were changed daily. We recommend Shanlin House to...

We visited Oranmore in July of this year and stayed in Shanlin House B&B. the house was beautiful, the rooms comfortable and the host was excellent! He was willing to help us out on exploring the local area and gave us some great information regarding restaurants. The breakfast was fantastic also. We have already recommended this B&B to family traveling...

Overall our stay here was nice. The breakfast was fantastic and the host very friendly and helpful with planning our trip. The only thing preventing an excellent rating was the wifi, it didn't work half the time, and when it did it was very weak. Yes, the room and bathroom were small, but they served our purposes just fine since...

Friendly and comfortable, great nights sleep, no noise. Irish breakfast to set you up for the day, really friendly hosts. Room and bathroom a bit small but quite adequate as a base for exploring surrounding area and Galway.

This is our first B&B stay ever, but we felt the accommodation was fantastic, bar the very small bathroom. (although as we say - it is our first so maybe all are this small). The bedroom was comfortable, the walls were not paper thin as some suggest. We had a couple with a young baby (10 week old) in the...

Shanlin´s house and garden are beutiful (photos are real). Our room was very tidy but we can not deny that the room and bathroom were quite small (almost no storage place) and voices could be easily heart from the other rooms and corridor but what can you expect... The wifi didn´t work very well, neather did the tv. For their...

I stayed here for 3 nights. Seamus and family are extremely nice and the rate was very reasonable. Everything was spotlessly clean. Bed was comfy. Room was smallish and bathroom very small. Breakfast was hearty - I love the Irish bacon, sausage and black pudding.

I am not sure how this B&B has been rated so highly. There is no denying the owner is super friendly and helpful but that doesn't make it great. This is one of those all too familiar purpose built B&Bs and cheaply built at that. The rooms are small, have only the one chair, the walls are paper thin, the...

“When the Irish tell you "it is five minutes walk" it is about as reliable as "just up the road", you need to ask how long is the road so when this place tells you town is a five minute walk expect twice to three times that long.”
