Walked into the reception to be (not) greeted by a very disinterested and rude man ?owner. Up the steep stairs to our room with heavy suitcases. Room and bathroom tiny. Web site said this hotel "tastefully renovated", but I'm not sure where. Again, a smell in the hotel and rooms, scuff marks on walls. TV didn't work. Got an "UPGRADE"...

This was a very comfortable place to stay our first night in Ireland. They were very welcoming and breakfast was exceptional. The village is so cute and the coastal drive amazing. I would definitely recommend this location to any one coming to Ireland and especially if they fly into Shannon airport.

Spent one night here travelling thru Ireland for two weeks. This was our favorite spot. The hotel was packed, got the last room. Had dinner in the restaurant (they had three private, local events going on that night, crazy busy but very attentive). Were very happy to find out a local Irish trio was playing traditional music... didn't leave our...

Unfriendly welcome on arrival at hotel .We were told we booked wrongly a cold response from hotel staff. Our room was cold on arrival no heating and faulty main window which could not be closed because of no lock on window.

Room was reasonable but windows were drafty. The door lock was tricky to disengage lock. Wifi wasn't available in the room and normal coverage from my telco was non-existent. There is wifi in the lounge however. We had dinner in the restaurant and for some reason, my 4 year old kept pestering me for the lamb. We gave in to...

My husband and I recently took a coach tour of Ireland. We had a wonderful time; the country is beautiful and the people are so friendly. Our only disappointment on the trip was when our small group stopped at this hotel for a break. We planned to use their washroom and have a cup of tea (or Irish coffee!) and...

Admittedly, this hotel is under new management, and they say that they are working on things. That being said, they have a fair amount of work to do. The room was in good condition, and the furnishings were in very good shape. Now for the issues. There is no elevator, so expect to walk up to whatever room you have....

This was my third or fourth time to stay here in this cosy town hotel and we always enjoy it. It is ideally situated between l'Arco restaurant and O'Loughlinns whiskey bar so there's no reason not to have a wonderful time in Ballyvaughan. Rooms are comfortable and breakfast delicious. The young man on reception was very friendly and helpful too.
