This was our first trip to Ireland and the Ballyvaughan Lodge was our first experience with Irish hospitality; meaning the Ballyvaughan Lodge had a lot of weight on its shoulders and it sure did deliver. We were greeted by Coco who was sprawled on the front patio basking in the warm sunshine. Gerry was quick to greet us next with...

Jerry and Pauline made us feel so welcome and they were charming as only the Irish can be! The rooms were comfortable, with great attention to detail and the breakfast was fantastic. This was truly a memorable stay. it is in walking distance to restaurants, gift shops and a delightful Whiskey Bar called O'loclainns.

In a land of friendly and helpful B and B hosts, Gerry stands out. The lodgings are by local standards spacious and well equipped and the lodge itself was lovely and well located. Ballyvaughan is a great launch point into hiking the Burren and Gerry gave us a lift to our trail head. And as others noted he serves an...

The owners were wonderful and gracious, the room was clean and spacious, but the breakfast was the very best. We had been on the road for two weeks and this breakfast was definitely the best of them all! An especially wide selection of fruit and, of course, all the typical breakfast foods - ALL of them - served in a...

We stayed here for one night. However, we wished that it could have been longer. The owners run an excellent establishment. I stay away from the term"luxury" as I believe that it is overused. The room was tastefully furnished. Breakfast was one of the best that we had throughout our visit to Ireland. The owner was helpful with local travel...

This is a bright, comfortable, tastefully decorated guest house in the centre of Ballyvaughan village. The owners Gerry & Pauline were very welcoming & caring. The bedroom was comfortable & relaxing. There is on site parking and seating outside to enjoy the gardens. It is walking distance to all village restaurants & amenities. Breakfast was "gorgeous" with a huge variety...

What a great little place. Clean and comfortable. Hosts were very welcoming, giving lots of info on things to do and see. About 100metres from pubs and cafes. (Definitely try o Laughlin whiskey bar!) Highly recommend this place to stay!!

Run by nice people who are really welcoming. Excellent range of breakfast options and Gerry could not do enough for you to make sure your stay was enjoyable. Nice room if a little small, but had everything we needed.

We stayed just one night at this lovely lodge. We were warmly greeted on arrival and shown to our spacious well-furnished and equipped room (with a very nice bathroom) that overlooked the front street (but no noise from the road). The location is great -- you can walk to several of the hiking trails for which the area is well-known...
