This is our second visit to Carleton village. Despite having rainy days this year we really enjoyed it. We stayed in a villa last year and an apartment this year. The accommodation is new and very clean with all the mod cons that are needed...More
We found the Carleton villas to be spotless . We were located near the kida club and park which was a bonus. Unfortunately the week we were there the weather wasn't great however this did not stop my 3 children loving the outdoor heated pool...More

We stayed in Carleton Village for 1 week in July. We stayed in a fabulous 3 bedroom house that had everything you need, including iron, hairdryer, clothes peg, plenty of cups, plates etc. They also leave 1 dishwasher tablet which is handy to get you started.!...More

We stayed recently with our family of 4, our 5 year old girl and 3 boys, 11,14,17. No wifi was initially an issue with the teens, cries of I'm bored went up inside minutes of arrival! However there are two wifi spots for the teens to update their phones at. For us it became an advantage. The boys played cards each night, watched DVDs, and played tennis in the courts most days/evenings. The older two were too self conscious about the pool being for little ones to bother with it, but it was deep enough. They enjoyed BBQ night as long as they could slope off to the house after a while. It was quite and safe for them to do so.
We visited black rock castle observatory, FOTA wildlife Safari, and Cobh and Kinsale, they enjoyed the history and the tours. The two younger children definitely enjoyed the park, walled garden and pool much more than the teens. Not sure about other activities however as a base it comes highly recommended, clean, spacious and has everything you could need for families self catering and exploring.
