We liked it so much we stayed an extra night, making it four nights in total. Room was large and we had a view of the sea. A massive, comfortable king size bed and plenty of wardrobe space. Breakfast was amazing - with poached pears in addition to other fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals etc and then the option of a...

Host was very obliging.....served us Guinness in guest lounge before dinner, which was excellent. Breakfast was also very good. Rooms large with king size beds and a good size bathroom with bath. Wifi didn't connect in bedroom but did downstairs. Only complaint was the 'noisy' children at breakfast.....

Would recommend to anyone. The food was wonderful, the owners fuss over each person, and the room was extrenely nice in every way. The towb itself is not the finest in Ireland, and the hotel is located on a main street that isn't especially notable, but it certainly felt safe. And the property itself was wonderful.

We stayed three nights in Aherne's last week and had a really enjoyable time. While the accommodation was everything we expected the fine food was the highlight. There was a big turnover of staff through the three days, all friendly, helpful and interactive. Cheap? No, Good value? definitely!

we arrived late but within a half hour were settled in a beautifully comfortable bedroom and then down to Guinness and oysters and the freshest and bestest sizzling prawns I have ever had.A remarkable and memorable evening. Good bed too.

We visited Ahernes during the Bank Holiday weekend in June, the reason we book it was because it was a Blue Book hotel - unfortunately the standard of service, the standard of the room and the standard of dining were well below what we know and expect from the Blue book hotels. The food was fabulous, very rich but the...

We had dinner in Aherne's (June bank hol 2015) and it really was excellent. The service from the minute we walked in the door to the minute we left had us smiling and the seafood was second to none. I would very highly recommend a visit.

We just ended a 10 day trip throughout Ireland, it was 100% brilliant. We began in Youghal and spent two delightful days at Aherne's. The food especially the seafood was outstanding. The only down side was that although the entire journey was spectacular the food was never again as it was here.

Valerie and I stayed at Ahernes for the first time last night. It was a great experience. This was particularly due to Ann. She was the essence of kindness and helpfulness as she waited on us for our memorable evening of great food, great ambience and relaxed atmosphere. Ann, it was a pleasure to meet you and we look forward...

We booked this hotel as we drove along the wild Atlantic way. It is a charming property, the room was lovely and huge. A hotel with character...not all marble and mirrors, like many chain hotels. The food was even better. It was fresh local and seasonal...just delicious. The service matched the room and food. We are particularly grateful for the great...
