We stayed here April 26 - 29th, 2016. This is Irish hospitality at is finest. Warm beds ( electric mattress pads - what a bonus ) , warm showers, wonderful breakfast and the charm of Sheila and Frank. My home away from home :) Wonderful place.

A warm welcome, warm beds waiting, and the most charming hosts you could ask for! The house is clean and cozy, and you feel quite at home from the moment you step in the door. The rooms feel calm and quiet, the beds are lovely, and you can fall asleep to the sound of gentle mooing from the farm next...

We stayed two nights at Ashgrove House before starting our terrific 10 day tour. As others have said, Sheila is a terrific host with a great sense of humor and a wide range of knowledge about Ireland, in addition to making the best scones and a delicious Irish breakfast. Will stay there again.

My boyfriend and I spent our first couple of days/nights in Ireland at Ashgrove House with Sheila and Frank. Wow! They instantly had us relaxed, feeling like we were with old friends at home while we enjoyed a real (and very excellent) Irish coffee. The rest of our vacation was perfect but no subsequent Irish coffee compared to Sheila’s. Their...

Sheila and Frank hosted our group (Inishfree Tours - amazing!) for the kick-off night off our nine-day tour of Ireland, and as our crew came in from afar, we gathered among the gorgeous rosebushes on the back patio for Irish coffee, music, and good craic! We even got Sheila to sing and Frank to dance, and we all indulged in...

It's impossible to remember that Sheila and Frank Tiernan aren't relatives after returning year after year and being welcomed like prodigals! Their home is so lovely with all the roses and landscaped flowers, and the rooms are lovely--so homey and comfortable with the latest plumbling . . . and the breakfasts, with the scones HOT from the oven . ....
