We stayed at Innisfree on our first night in Ireland. Innisfree is a beautiful B&B run by Mel McCarthy. She was very accommodating, allowed for an early check in, which was very welcome after our long journey. Mrs. McCarthy showed us to a sunny ensuite front bedroom which was very clean and comfortable and breakfast was delicious! Excellent food and... More

We booked because of the proximity to Bunratty Castle and Shannon Airport. Imelda was very friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and lovely, the gardens are beautiful and breakfast was very tasty and hot. Parking was very easy, which was not the case in many B&Bs, and 10 minutes to Shannon Airport. We stayed two nights an would surely... More

Imelda runs a great B&B with comfortable ensuite rooms and a tasty real Irish breakfast. Her family are charming and the grandchildren, five boys and one girl, were a delight.

We stay at Innisfree every time we go to Ireland, both on arrival and departure. Mel's has a wonderful B&B with first floor bedrooms which are spacious and nicely decorated. Also being first floor, there is not lugging of luggage up and down stairs after a long flight. Mel's home is about 10 to 15 min from Shannon airport -... More

Our stay was second to none The food was great, the atmosphere was wonderful. Mel was . most helpful and even got us a golf game on very short notice. The location is very central to many areas around Shannon and Limerick and Innisfree is an excellent place to make your headquarters for daily travels. The best part was the entertainment... More

We were fortunate enough to travel to Ireland again this year and lucky enough to stay at Innisfeee both when we arrived and left. We enjoy staying with Mel. She always has a warm welcome when you arrive. If you fly in early in the AM, she accepts early guests. She will have a room ready for you and you... More

Every year when we go to Ireland, we stay when we arrive and when we leave at Innisfree. After a long trip and little sleep, it is wonderful to be welcomed by Mel, the hostess. It feels like coming home. Due to her location, about 10 min drive, to Shannon Airport, she accepts morning arrivals. All of her bedrooms are... More

My sister and I went to Ireland with cousins (who rented a condo in Bunratty). We booked a room at Innisfree B&B for the week and we were the lucky ones! We had a large room. overlooking a beautiful garden. Accommodations are modest but perfectly comfortable, clean, and large enough for all our stuff. Shower was wonderful. Every morning we... More

Innisfree is a perfect b&b, the location is ideal, the rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable including the large lounge area that is perfect for relaxing and having a flick through some of the books there. Breakfast is second to none and the dining area has a lovely view out over the local hills. The hosts are very welcoming... More

“It's close enough to Bunratty castle - It's about 25 to 30 min walk on a very quiet road. So if you are going to the Castle banquet it's a great location to stay.”

“You need a car. I initially thought it a close walk to the castle, but a quick drive best describes it. NOTE: this accom requires payment in cash (Euros!). No eftpos facilities.”
