Well appointed, large rooms in nice boutique lodge that staff and owners are obviously very passionate about. Standard akin to much larger city hotel but still maintains cosy charm appropriate for area. Two minutes walk to beach and cafes/pubs, and close to golf course. Restaurant seems popular and was booked out by time I arrived - book ahead unless you...

Thank you for your kind words John. I was sorry we could not accommodate your dinner request. We operate fine dining from Tuesday to Saturday and we do have a popular restaurant so it is always advisable to book ahead. Many people come to dine who are not guests of the hotel and we try to accommodate everyone as far...

My husband and I recently stayed at the Vaughan Lodge with 2 other couples. We had an excellent experience at the hotel for a number of reasons. Martina, who greeted us at the front desk, is service personified. She got us checked in, was our bartender in their lounge, arranged a yoga class for the ladies, helped the guys with...

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on our hotel. You mentioned two outstanding people in your review and we are so lucky to have both working with us. There are many more, of course who were equally impressive and whom you would not meet, behind the scenes making each day as good as it can be for our guests. Thank...

Small lodge with views of Lahinch golf course. So convenient to the Cliffs of Moher. Very nice rooms. Our dinner was delicious...have the sole! The breakfast was the best we had in Ireland. Service was outstanding in every way. The staff went out of their way to meet our needs. I really hope we can have a "next time!" The...

This hotel surpassed all expectations. Warm welcoming staff at each meeting. Rooms great size and spotless as was bathroom. Breakfast was a wonderful experience and great start to day. As with everything here the great attention to detail and quality is their priority. The staff in the restaurant were polite, professional and a credit to the hotel.

This was my seventh trip to Ireland. The last four have included a stay at Vaughan Lodge! Reason one: Michael and his friendly staff. We had to leave early on our final morning and would not have time for breakfast. Michael wouldn't hear of it -- and opened the kitchen early for our group. Reason Two: Clean and comfortable, including...

Everything about this hotel says 5 star. Michael and all the staff just couldn't do enough for us. We return year after year. Best breakfast ever. Dinner consistently great. Several extra courses not mentioned on menu make it a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Staff are friendly. They couldn't do enough for us. If I was asked for a suggestion I would...

Thank you for the lovely few words It is always a pleasure to have you stay. Unfortunately the Linen is outsourced and perhaps the commercial chemicals render the fabric a little hard. We will see what can be achieved before you return. If the Burren soap company can strike a reasonable fee you might have your wish.... Until next year.........

We just spent 3 days at Vaughan Lodge. The restaurant is a highlight and the best place to eat in County Clare (I believe). The hotel is really comfortable and with no spa/pool etc is for adults and golfers and for quiet break. It does this brilliantly.
