stayed here while doing the Wicklow way with 3 friends, Yvonne picked us up at the car park where we had previously arranged to meet and took us back again in the morning, we stayed in the annexe round the side, the rooms were clean and comfortable, Yvonne was an excellent host, full Irish breakfast kept us bouncing along the...

We stayed at Coolakay House a couple of nights when we were visiting the Wicklow County. The structure is really nice and the landscape is beautiful. The rooms are nice, clean and cosy. Yvonne has been very kind and welcoming. Nice place also for walkers. Wonderful breakfast included. Close to the Powerscourt Estate and not too far from Glendalough.

Staying at the Coolakay House was one of the highlights of my trip to Ireland. The view from our room was one of the most beautiful views I have seen. The room was small but modern, pretty, and clean. The location is close to Powers Court. We took the DART to Dublin from Bray, which is 15 minutes from the...

We stayed here when we finished the Wicklow way walk. Yvonne was great craic and so helpful, and Solange singing as she worked was so lovely to listen to. The landscaping is beautiful and the views amazing.

I used this as a overnight B&B for our Wicklow walk. Evonne the landlady was a bubbly and friendly person, always willing to offer help. The full Irish breakfast was excellent and kept us going till the evening with hardly any need for lunch during our walk. The lounge always had tea or coffee going and Evonne was quick to...

We chose Coolakay House primarily based on location and the review read on Tripadvisor. Coolakay house surpassed our expectations on both counts. It was very near the Wicklow Way walking path and the Powerscourt Waterfall. The rooms, grounds, bathroom/shower and breakfast were all excellent. But, what really made Coolakay House stand out was the view, the pod in the beautiful...

This is a great place for a weekend away or short break. We stayed for two nights before warming up for the Wicklow way walk. Yvonne is a warm hostess and is so welcoming and helpful. She offers to drive you down to the village if the need arises. The breakfast was a hearty traditional with fruit, and a variety...

A beautiful place to stay with gorgeous views and manicured gardens. We had a very warm welcome from Yvonne and her staff. Our rooms were a good size and that had double windows with views of the fields. They were very clean with nicely updated furniture and decor. After settling in we were offered refreshments and snacks. Yvonne had 3...

1. Rang to ask for directions, got barked at on the phone. 2. Wifi was terrible in the room. 3. House alarm went off at 4am until 4.45am... Very nice! 4. Credit card details were taken but I had to pay cash... Which I didn't have on me so I had to drive back to the village to get money....

Overall, this is a great B & B, but it has some serious drawbacks. On the plus side: the location is wonderful; surrounded on all sides by gorgeous scenery, and although it's on a fairly main road, it's very quiet with hardly any passing traffic. It's about a 5 min drive from Enniskerry, 10 mins from Bray; not really accessible...
