Excellent hotel with genuine character and history in a very scenic location - and reasonable prices compared to others in the West. A former British king and queen stayed there in the room directly above reception facing out onto the fjord. The food is local and amazing, as is the bar and the Guinness! Staff and service 100 per cent!...

A very charming Hotel with stunning views. Our room was comfortable. We had such a lovely relaxing time. Great Atmosphere in the bar especially during music sessions. Food is really good and staff were friendly and welcoming.

Highly recommend this to anyone who has 3 or 4 nights available. we went on a 4 night stay, which included a free nights B and B because we arrived on a Sunday. Also included 3 x 5 course gourmet evening meals, all of which were outstanding - although would have preferred a bit more variety with the desserts. All...

Our group of ten stayed here, and we were surprised that the hotel was completely booked. There's not much but around here, but it seems to draw folks from all around. The rooms were clean if not luxurious. My mind goes immediately, though, to the common room which has several very comfortable sofas, a fireplace, tables, and comfortable chairs. Staff...

We had a late lunch in the restaurant. After hearing great reviews of the Irish friendliness, we were surprised at the service. We had a great steak cooked to perfection with sauté onions and mushrooms. The mash that came with it was great. However, the vegetables consisted of a piece of broccoli and a piece of cauliflower between two with...

This is the perfect place to stay to just stay indoors and rest. The restaurant was excellent and the bar very nice. The service was excellent. I...

Was very impressed with this place particularly its location. Staff were polite and the food was excellent. As a 3 star hotel the rooms were OK but lacking in light Restaurant meal was very good - particularly the striploin steak and salted caramel and hazelnut tart (see picture) Only down side was that there was no water to wash in...

Stayed here September 2016. Had room number 21 which is a front facing room with great views over the fjord. Another one of us stayed in room number 5 which was back facing no view but really quiet. We all had dinner in the bar that night, we were served by Noel who was very friendly and efficient. He was...
