The hotel met our requirements (a place to sleep and eat). The meal was good and good value, the service OK. The building and rooms are a bit the worse for wear. The best thing was the friendly and beautiful Irish waitress, the worst thing was the big radiator in the room which we couldn't turn down so the room...

I used the Grand Hotel as a base for one night. In fairness I didn't stay in the hotel for long. Dropping off the luggage and leaving within 10 minutes arriving back late at night. On arriving I found check in quick and pleasant. The rooms whilst dated are clean and comfortable, which is all I need for a stop...

This is my very first Trip Advisor review. A month has now elapsed since I wrote this letter to the manager at The Grand Hotel in Fermoy. We stopped for lunch en route from Cork to Dublin. We couldn't find the lovely French Restaurant where we ate many years ago. We asked somebody on the street- where could we get a good meal. They recommended the Grand? hotel. On entering it looked more like a bar than a restaurant. we have nothing against bar food. After several...

We had a meeting last week and booked two meeting rooms - the Board Room and the River Room. The booking was handled very efficiently by Susan, and the whole day was a success. Competitive prices too.

Its about two years since I last stayed here and I'm sorry to say it has deteriorated in the meantime. It still has old world charm and a great location but it feels run down, neglected and shabby. Its still a popular spot but really suffering from lack of investment. I really want to like this place but as value...

My wife is very fussy about her steak. Blue means blue and that's what she got. They do a 2 for 1 deal after 3pm where you pay for the dearest 1. My fish and chips was fab and the bar manager John was very attentive. I'd recommend this spot.
