With out doubt the best breakfast I had on my 12 day visit to Armenia. So delicious, fresh and tasty. Warm friendly welcome from the lovely Ashken. I was only sorry that I only stayed one night. Would recommend and very much hope I stay here again in the future.
One of the best wineries in Vayots Dzor. Such amazing hospitality, mouthwatering homemade food, professional presentation of precious wine, tip top cleanliness, and friendly family atmosphere. The owner is extremely nice, smiley, and humble :)
Well, i guess it was all well said in the previous comments. Place is well maintained, cozy and spacious. Owner welcomes you and shows around the winery. Tasting is accompanied with tasty local cheeses(those in olive oil are the best), local made olives, salads and main dishes(we got meet, was a bit too dry for us and trout, happen to be tasty). Wine is worth trying, its good idea to take few bottles with you, have some in the hotel and take home :) They have trampoline for your kids to play. There is also a guest house available, but we have booked another hotel so didnt check it out. Overall i highly recommend the place for family, friends and couples.
The owners are amazing, down to earth people. You see how much passion and dedication they have to their business and making their guests soo welcomed, you feel like you are in your house, tasting a great wine and enjoying a great homemade food in a calm, inviting atmosphere....Must see place in Armenian !
The hosts make their own wine, which is excellent. Breakfast was very good, and the dinner which was offered was noithing short of magnificent. We had the opportunity to try their wines (as well as some of their grappa), and ended up buying quite a few bottles to bring home. A great bonus is their pool, which was very refreshing after a hot day. This place is highly recommended, particularly if you are into wine. But even if you aren't the hosts will make you feel very comfortable.
I had a very pleasant 2 night stay here. The lady who runs it is very nice and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable. They have a new puppy that is adorable. Dinner was good and so was breakfast with homemade jam. They also have an espresso maker that grinds coffee beans (the first I’ve seen in a guesthouse).
Great B&B with a fantastic garden to chill. The superfriendly host made dinner (don't forget to reserve in advance!) and served it to me and the other guests. We ate all together in a very good atmosphere. Room was basic but good and breakfast was as good as dinner (=yummy!). It's a bit hard to find, but I would recommend it to everyone. Very relaxed and easy-going atmosphere.
Old Bridge is a very nice and cozy B&B with very hospitable housemasters, great wine, and food. The rooms at the B&B are clean, the garden is nice and overall, you feel the Armenian hospitality at its finest.
The site of this very friendly small hotel is the first perceived advantage: located on the top of Yehegnadzor is just perfect, offering nice views on the mountains and the valley. The immediate second one is the warm and friendly welcome by the owners. The next one was the outstanding dinner with excellent vegetarians dishes (aspargus, tasty eggplant with spices and nuts, aubergine rolls and a beetroot soup) but not only! The white or red wine locally produced by the family was a perfect companion. Our room was spacious, spotless, and had a balcony with valley's view. We had a perfect sleep during our two nights stay. Homemade products for the breakfast were also a perfect day's start.
We had such a wondeful time, our plan was to stay only one night there, but we were not able to leave so fast. We were enchanted by the simple, calm and exquisite atmosphere. The house was their former family house, and you can feel their charm in there. They are really lovely peolple, charm, interesting, sensitive, and open minded. You can see all that in the house, in their amazing wine (wow really!) and in the delighfull breakfast and dinner (soooo delicious, don´t skip it!!). You won´t miss details and good taste. We were with our three years old kid, and he still asks us to go back. Thank you very much for the charm hospitality! We hope to be back soon. Michele, Guillermina and little Pol.
