My Wife and I arrived here on Tuesday 24/06/14 following the instructions sent to us by Debbie they brought us straight there, we were met by Debbie who explained that they were not now a pub but a licensed premises this did not distract from our first impression it seemed perfect and this is what we found. The perfect place to get away and relax. The location is perfectly situated for visiting the surrounding area. The accommodation is well presented and had the little touches that make a difference. The welcome was warm and personal with Debbie going out her way to assist. Although a 17th century cottage it has all the modern facilities. The food is...

What can I say? It was just as fantastic here as it was on my previous visit. Debbie was as hospitable as ever, and helped us plan our weekend walking. She provided us with maps, and arranged our taxi back to the Crown after our walk to Bishops Castle. She even provided us with a flask and a packed lunch!...

Having just returned from a 2 night stay at The Crown Inn I thought I'd put pen to paper, so to speak, and give my opinion of our experience at this quiet country B&B. Very easy to find, and park, we were met by Debbie who explained the lay of the land and showed us to our room. The room...

My husband and I have just returned from a two night stay at The Crown Inn. Debbie and her team are very welcoming and attentive. The room we stayed in (room 2) was charming with lots of original features. The breakfast was plentiful and cooked to a high standard (my bacon was crispy as requested). We ate at the Crown...

This was a birthday gift to my husband. Although we have lived in North Shropshire for many years, we've never explored the South of the county until this visit. We had no difficulty finding the venue, driving straight to it via Clun. We found it a superb 'base' to explore the surrounding area, adding visits to neighbouring villages, and towns,...

I would like to first of all stress that our break was disappointing but only because our expectations were incorrect. We stayed at the Crown 24th to 26th May and were under the impression that it was a country real ale pub with some accommodation. What we found was that the public bar had unfortunately closed and the Crown is...
