Highly recommended. We stayed in the shepherds hut, very comfortable. It's set in beautiful surroundings. Ruth and Mike will make you feel most welcome. The facilities assigned to the shepherds hut are high quality/ outstanding. Easy walking distance to the Butchers Arms which is well worth a visit.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay in the shepherds hut at crake trees Manor. The facilities and location were just perfect. We both had the most amazing nights sleep in the hut, it was super cosy with the wood burning stove. Fresh cakes and the amazing breakfasts we had on each day certainly added to our stay. It...

We were in Peasland for 2 nights. Huge room, fabulous bathroom, little terrace and great view. Best room we think. We are in our 50s and had our 14 year old daughter Poppy with us. Ruth gave us an extra mattress but Pops preferred the sofa - easily this is big enough for a family to have. With a little kitchen...

So randomly selected Crake trees. Out on a limb which is ideal for us. And on a confluence of public footpaths. Which is better still. Lovley service. Ultra efficient. Beautifully presented inside and nice and warm. Bedrooms ace. Lovely comphy bed. Super breakfast of high quality.

Absolutely loved Crake Trees. Everything about the manor was perfect. Me & my partner spontaneously booked an overnight stay, and was not disappointed. The manor was so quirky, a little like us, so it was the ideal place to stay. We arrived at around 4pm, and received a warm welcome by Ruth. Was shown around the place and settled in....

This is a beautiful and remote manor which should not be missed if you go to Cumbria. I stayed in the Shepherd's Hut and I can't wait to go back. It was absolutely fabulous, rustic and quiet and filled with the charm of a mountain retreat. The innkeeper Ruth is lovely and sweet. The morning breakfast for the Hut was...
