The property itself was more than enough for our family of 4 plus the dog, and we didn't even use the single bedroom. Everything was straight forward and easy to use. My daughters loved the beds and my husband and I found them very comfortable. The property was also very clean so we felt really comfortable using it for cooking and preparing food for the family.

Anita responded promptly to my queries. The summer house toys were a plus, my girls loved the tractor and body boards.

The bungalow is a 10 minute walk to the beach so a great location, no need to pay for the beach car park every day. Whilst you can take the walk by the road, there's a lovely walk through the meadow behind the pub through to the car park at the top of the beach. There's a park with a zip wire at the top of the beach where the car park is which was a big hit with my 5 and 3 year old. We tended to do beach, park, toilet (free public ones), icecream (there every afternoon except a rainy one).

If I were to have one complaint, which is a very minor one, we couldn't find any egg cups for dippy eggs.

We would happily stay here again, thank you Anita!

Spent a fantastic two weeks at Beach View - the location right above the sea wall is spectacular, and the house itself is warm, comfortable, clean, and well equipped, and has amazing sea views. You cannot get any closer to the beach! Was greeted by a great welcome basket on arrival too. I cannot recommend this property highly enough. Hoping to come back as soon as I can...

Another relaxing break courtesy of Barn and Beach.
This is our 7th visit and this time we decided to stay at Beach Place for a change.

Beach Place is 100% perfect - well equipped, fantastically clean, warm and welcoming with wonderful uninterrupted sea views. A great location to enjoy some Autumnal strolls especially along the beach to the Poachers Pocket.

Michael and the team did a fantastic job during the Covid-19 pandemic adapting to the Government Guidelines allowing us to have a safe and enjoyable break.

Thank you again Michael for providing another relaxing and well equipped base for our Autumn break. Looking forward to our next booking already.

Recently stayed at Beach view but never again. There was a nice view from the front windows but unfortunately we had to keep the curtains shut most of the time as people and dogs were constantly walking past and looking in and obviously it upset my dogs. There was a small private garden at the back , but there is nothing comfy to sit on unless you take your own chairs and nothing nice to look at apart from a brown fence and a grotty shed. It wasn’t a relaxing place to sit as all you hear was the neighbours music, tv or their dogs . They had a bonfire one day and I had to quickly shut all doors and windows as we got covered in white smoke.
Some of the cooking items could do with updating, there were cobwebs under the kitchen cupboards and the extractor fan was caked in grease and didn’t work , neither did the light.
When we arrived I couldn’t find any dishwasher tablets or bin bags so I contacted the owner to ask where they were kept but there were none. It wasn’t a problem as I could have got some from the shop but the next thing I knew I was confronted by an angry man who nearly ran me over. He brought me some dishwasher tablets and bin bags and told me one bin bag should be enough for a week and they are usually left by the cleaner but because they were on holiday none were left. He then told me that we don’t have problems at Beach view and went storming off and thankfully we never saw him again. What a nightmare !

The Beach House - Walcott.
This house was perfect for us, nice and spacious, well equipped and with a fantastic view, nothing beats waking up in the morning with the sun streaming through the window and a superb view out to sea.
It was nice to have a secure garden so the dog was safe, access to the beach was just a moment away which helped us to nip out in between showers, it's such a clean beach, lovely to walk on and plenty of room for the dog to play, we only saw one item of litter in the whole week, watch the tide times as in some areas it comes in right up to the shore and can cut you off.
We found the Kingfisher cafe great for sandwiches and food, the all day breakfast is impossible to beat, the sandwiches are very filling and the ice creams are fantastic, the Poachers pocket wasn't as good so we just went to the cafe every day and enjoyed their great food - we had hoped to venture to Great Yarmouth and inland but some heavy rain every day put a stop to that, it was nice to light the log burner when we got soaked on one walk, it made the house very cosy.
I'd challenge anyone to find anything to fault with the house, it was so welcoming we just unpacked the car and settled in within a few minutes, the location is so peaceful, barely any noise apart from the occasional helicopter servicing the rigs.
The house had everything we needed and more, it was impeccably clean, the bed very comfortable and we just felt totally at home, a very enjoyable stay and I hope we will return one day.

This was our first holiday break since lockdown and Beach Place was the ideal place to spend it. The cottage is in a quiet location with fantastic views of the sea and beach. We were fortunate with the weather and enjoyed exploring the coastal path and woodland walks nearby. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well-equipped and in an ideal location for exploring this area of Norfolk. We would definitely like to return.

Astrid and Ray Schofield.

We booked Grange Cottage in Bacton through Barn and Beach for a long weekend in May to celebrate a significant birthday. The booking through Barn and Beach was smooth and the cottage itself, hosted by Sam, was wonderful. I was greeted by a cake and happy birthday banner and card, fresh eggs and jams and even a bottle of fizz in the fridge. The cottage is spacious but homely and the garden is a delight, a haven for bees and all the flowers were starting to bloom. I have NEVER stayed in such a well and thoughtfully equipped cottage (think spare razors and sanitary towels in the bathroom cabinet, or soy sauce in the pantry for a takeaway from the local Chinese) and Sam was a responsive but relaxed host. What a welcome and refreshing change not to be presented with a long list of tasks to complete on departure which is what we've come to expect from self-catering accommodation these days. The location is quiet but with plenty of local amenities and we enjoyed a daily swim in the sea at Bacton. I would recommend it without hesitation. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This was our second stay at Seascape and again we found it clean with comfortable furniture and of course the location is just perfect. The shower tray rather than shower over bath was much more practical for us. The secure back garden is ideal as we knew our puppy could play out safely. The property allows easy access to lots of diverse towns, villages and stunning beaches. Our week has finished all too quickly and as the saying goes "time flies when you are having fun" It's always a pleasure to visit North Norfolk.

Beach Place
We've been booking through Barn and Beach for a few years now,the properties are in the most wonderful and private location overlooking the sea with easy access to the beach for walks.
Although probably in need of some TLC we found Beach Place to be clean, comfortable and homely and the location far outweighs any negatives.
Michael is on hand if needed but otherwise you are left alone to enjoy your stay.
We hope to keep returning.

We had a great short break at Tide View and were very lucky with the weather. The house has everything you need and more. The view of the sea/beach is fantastic especially from the large window in the main bedroom. We enjoyed excellent food in Poachers Pocket pub, smallsticks cafe and Kingfisher fish and chips. We had a lovely walk in Bacton Woods and also walked to Cart Gap just past Happisburgh along the beach. The highlight was seeing all the seals in and out of the sea at Horsey Beach. Holt and Sheringham are lovely too. We will be back.
