We stayed one night at La Petite Valise and had a nice time, but with a few points to improve.
Welcome and atmosphere: The welcome was friendly, even if the owner seemed a little under the influence of alcohol. The decoration is charming, the place is full of various objects, which creates a unique atmosphere.
Comfort and equipment: We had the building to ourselves, the owner not residing on site. We had access to cakes, cookies and the possibility to make coffee. However, some cookies seemed outdated, with a strange taste and soft texture. The shower provided excellent hot and cold water pressure, and the room was very clean, spacious and quiet.
Breakfast: Breakfast was a real plus! Fresh bakery produce was delicious and quality, and we enjoyed the beautifully decorated room where it was served.
Cleanliness: The decoration is nice but makes cleaning difficult, which leaves something to be desired in some corners. More care in this area would be welcome.
Billing problem
A big problem is the bill. After a cash payment, the owner promised to send us the invoice by email, but we did not receive anything despite numerous reminders, either via Booking or directly by email. This lack of response and transparency suggests that the institution may be doing undeclared accounting.
In conclusion, we do not recommend this property to those looking for a professional and transparent service. Better to encourage companies that meet official standards and care about customer satisfaction.
